We couldn't be more excited! After over thirty years in operation, tomorrow morning (Tuesday the 3rd February 2026) Allen & District Day Care Centre will move into its very own 'forever home' in our purpose developed Centre in Kilmeague. Established with huge foresight by passionate and committed local volunteers in the back of Allenwood Church over 30 years ago, it remained there for many years before being welcomed by Ballyteague GAA Official some 15 years ago, when the Church was undergoing redevelopment. The move proved to be a wonderful partnership, placing the centre in the heart of the community. But it has long been recognized that the Day Care Centre needed, and deserved, a home of its own.
Tomorrow morning we will welcome our regular clients into our own new beautiful centre. We will miss Ballyteague- The beautiful surroundings, the community spirit, and the help and support the Club has provided throughout our time there. We will miss the Meitheal of Ballyteague! But our clients know, better than most, the only one sure thing is change. The start of Spring heralds a new dawn for Allen and District Day Care Centre. We remember and celebrate all those who have been instrumental in getting us to this point. On behalf of Trust Us Senior Care, thank you to our colleagues in the HSE who have developed the centre for us; Thank You to all the volunteers, staff and friends of the centre over the past 30 years; Thank you to Allenwood Celtic AFC who have and continue to help fundraise for the centre, and to all of you in our community who have supported, advocated and helped us over the past 30 years. Here is to the next 30! Let the fun and games begin! 🥳
