Naas Pythons Special Olympics Sports Club Naas Python's Special Olympics Sports Club, is for people with intellectual disabilities.

The club welcomes young athletes and adults with intellectual disabilities. We offer Bowling (every 2nd Monday) 7-8pm
Basketball(senior Girls) Thursdays 7-8pm
Floorball (mens) Thursdays 6.30-7.30pm
Athletics (summer months only)
Young athletes program Thursdays 5.30-6.30pm

Athletes who are interested in joining the club should contact club secretary Denise on 0851744991 to discuss the application process.

Jude O Keefe is the last of our athletes representing team Leinster at basketball.

She is an excellent basketball player and works in poplar chemist Naas

Her favourite tv show is friends and she follows Liverpool FC.

In her spare time she loves to do arts and crafts and spend time with her cats Holly & Buttons🐈

Darragh Murphy,he will partake in the shotput and 100m run at the Ireland games.

He is very social and knows all the words of the Irish,English and Australia national anthems!!🇦🇨🇨🇮

In his spare time he works in spar& supervalue.

Just over a week to the Special Olympics Ireland Summer Games.
There will be seven members of Naas Pythons Special Olympics Sports Club competing with the Leinster Region team.
Emmet, Equestrian at Stewart’s Therapy Hub, Kilcloon.
Darragh and Eva, Athletics at Morton Stadium.
Stephen, Golf at Westmanstown Golf Club
Jude, Lucinda and Rachael, Basketball at Gormanston Park

The games place on 18th-21st June 2026.

We know all our athletes will live up to the Special Olympics oath
“Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt. “
