Very Important Information for all during NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY WEEK 12/10/26 - 18/10/26
National Fire Safety Week 2026
12th October – 18th October 2025
"Know your Room, Know the Risk, Know the Person"
This year, for National Fire Safety Week, the emphasis of Fire Authorities nationwide will be on Knowing the Risks at home and within the Community, highlighting the importance of keeping yourself safe from fire and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community and knowing how to limit the risks.
We want you to know the dangers, the consequences and more importantly how to prevent a fire from starting by some easy checks and routines at home.
Every room presents different fire risks.
By understanding your surroundings, identifying potential hazards, and knowing your nearest escape route, you can help prevent fires and protect yourself and others. Take time to look around, spot the risks, and stay prepared. Fire safety starts with awareness.
Throughout Fire Safety Week Kildare Fire Service will be promoting fire safety with simple, practical fire safety advice/tips that we want you to share with with neighbours, friends and family, so that we can all play a part in keeping our communities safe from fire
