A big thank you for everyone who attended our car boot sale in support of Rathfredagh Cheshire Home on Sunday the 5th of July. We hope you all enjoyed it. We got very positive feedback. We'll let you know on this page and in other media if there's going to be another one or any other fundraising activity for that matter. We're sad to inform you of the passing of Russell Dante, last Wednesday, 17/06/2026. Russell, we will miss you.

Healing Streams Christian Fellowship will officiate a Final Farewell Ceremony on Friday evening 19th June at 7:30 p.m. in Rathfredagh Cheshire Home.

All staff, residents, family members, and friends are welcome to attend and join us in paying our final respects to Russell in Rathfredagh (V42 RW63).

He will be removed to Thompsons Funeral Home on Saturday and will be Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Sunday (21st June) from 4.30pm to 6pm. Instead of the Annual Garden Fete, Rathfredagh will be hosting a Car Boot Sale on Sunday the 5th of July 2026. Slot availability is limited, so book your space early (see poster for phone numbers). Entry fee for non-sellers is 2 Euros per person. Our eircode is V42 RW63.

The 20th of January 2026 was a staff appreciation day. 5 Staff members were awarded with a long service award. Three staff members work in Rathfredagh for 25 years, one staff member for 31 years and one staff member for 35 years. Congratulations to all involved and a huge thank you to Kevin Barry for providing the entertainment.
