Fed and Found πŸ˜‹

Thank you to all who joined the SICAP team last night to celebrate Refugee Week 2026, this was our second event in the series and as enjoyable as the last.

A gorgeous selection and array of foods reflective of so many cultures were shared yesterday evening with good conversation and new connections being formed. A warm and welcoming event in the Market House. Check out the photos from the event.

The SICAP team brought the top drawer national staple Mr. Tayto sandwich, to the table! Delicious!😁

On Monday, 7th June, we were delighted to enjoy a special performance by local Ukrainian children at our Weekly Conversations Club in St. Ita's Community Hall, Abbeyfeale.

It was a very emotional evening as the children performed traditional Ukrainian dances and shared a wonderful part of their culture with us. A sincere thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, and special thanks to Zhanna and Maria for their dedication, hard work, and excellent teaching skills.

It was a lovely evening enjoyed by all, and a wonderful opportunity to share this experience with the Abbeyfeale community. We look forward to many more such occasions together.

Thank you to the Abbeyfeale Mens Shed who sent in photos of them busy in their Shed, crafting these very interesting wooden structures.

The Abbeyfeale Shed members are working on an initiative with the Dromtrasna NS parents Association for the benefit of the school children in the school, enhancing outdoor spaces. Watch this space as we keep an eye on the project as it unfolds. What could it be? πŸ€”πŸ€”

This is community development in action. An intergenerational initiative, a sharing of skills and talents. Thank you to the wonderful Abbeyfeale Mens Shed for taking it on.

AIB Community €1 Million Fund - It's open

The AIB Community €1 Million Fund enables customers, the public and our employees to support the local charities that matter most to them, within their region. The Fund supports charities across six regions in Ireland, Northern Ireland & Great Britain.

AIB will once again allocate €700,000 to charities chosen by its customers and the community, while €300,000 will be donated to charities chosen by employees.

As we celebrate 60 years of AIB in 2026, we’re marking this milestone by strengthening that commitment and adding an extra once-off €60,000 to the AIB Community €1 Million Fund. This will provide an additional €10,000 per region, enabling us to support even more local projects and initiatives in our communities.

The 2026 AIB Community €1 Million Fund is now open. Nominate a charity for the community fund.
