KInnitty Code Club At Kinnitty Code Club, we believe all children should have the opportunity to learn to code.

At Kinnitty Code Club, coding is a powerful tool for creativity and problem-solving. We are committed to providing our club members with an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. To help children develop their programming skills and foster a love of coding. Our code club introduces coding, allowing children to develop the skills to create websites, games, apps and animations. We provide a safe and su

pportive environment for children to learn, socialise and collaborate with their peers. Volunteers run our code club from the community who are passionate about technology and education. We provide access to some laptops and coding resources, as well as a variety of activities and challenges to spark the imagination and interest of our club members. We also offer support and guidance to help children develop their coding skills. Our code club is open to everyone, regardless of age or experience, and we welcome children of all backgrounds and abilities.

🌞 Summer Camp Day – Now Open for Booking! 🌞

I’m delighted to now be able to open our Summer Camp Day for bookings! 🎉

📅 Date: Friday, August 21st
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

As previously mentioned, there will be no charge for the camp. Instead, we’ll have an honesty box for donations towards the cost of hiring the hall. Any contribution, big or small, would be very much appreciated.

I’m also very conscious that, unlike our regular sessions, many parents will be working during the summer holidays. With that in mind, there will be no requirement for a parent or guardian to stay with children aged 12 or under during the camp. Of course, if anyone is free and would like to stay and lend a hand, that would be very welcome! 😊

One change from previous communications is that the camp will now be open to anyone aged 8 and upwards. While the activities and content will be more tailored towards our younger members, we’d be delighted to welcome older children too.

🚀 Kinnitty Code Club is Back for Autumn! 💻✨

We’re gearing up for a fantastic autumn term, and we’d love to welcome both new and returning creators aged 8 to 16!

Whether your child is completely new to coding or looking to build on what they know, Kinnitty Code Club is a fun, welcoming space to explore technology, coding, and creative building.

Here is everything you need to know about our upcoming One-Day summer camp and our autumn return:

☀️ One-Day Summer Camp
Date: Friday, August 21st
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Age Group: 8 – 16 years
Location: Trail Head Centre
Cost: FREE (Honesty box available)

Note: The camp is subject to minimum registration numbers and hall availability confirmation to run. Keep an eye on our page—we will be dropping the booking link in the coming days!

🍂 Regular sessions returning Mid-September!

Our regular club sessions return in mid-September on our usual fortnightly schedule.

A couple of quick reminders and updates for the new term:

Free & Accessible to All: It has always been a core belief of Code Club that coding should be free, inclusive, and accessible to everyone. Up to now, we’ve personally covered the cost of renting the Trail Head Centre. To help offset these venue costs going forward, we will have an honesty box at all sessions. Contributions are completely optional—there is zero pressure!

Adult Supervision (Aged 12 & Under): To align with core community club guidelines, creators aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. We know how busy parents are, so you are very welcome to arrange carpooling/group supervision with other parents so one adult can oversee a small group!

Updating Our Email List: If you're on our email list and your child no longer attends, just drop us a message or reply to our emails and we'll happily remove you from the list.
