💪🏻Eugene was busy this morning bringing this haul up at the coal yard.

💪🏻A total of 62 bags removed from this beautiful area on the inlet behind The Burrow.

🙏Special thanks to Mark who collected 36 of these bags on solo picks over the past few months!

🦆It was a beautiful evening at Tacumshane Lake yesterday evening for our National Biodiversity Week event. Thanks to all those who came along.

🦆Ornithologist Cian Cardiff was on hand to point out the rare and regular visitors to the lake. The list was long but amongst them were the Grey Heron, The Lapwing, The Sedge Warbler and a rare sighting - the Pintail.

🏰Thank you to Liz and Gordon for your hospitality at SigginstownCastle - it was a great way to end a lovely evening.

🙏Finally, thank you to Wexford County Council and Clean Coasts for supporting this event.

📢Our Dusk Chorus Walk has been RESCHEDULED to Thursday 21st at 7.30pm due to poor weather forecasted for tomorrow evening.

We are delighted to host this event with Wexford County Council and Ornithologist Cian Cardiff.

Cian has been fascinated by birds and wildlife from a very young age, which has now led him onto being a full time ornithologist, carrying out surveys on birds, leading birding tours, and giving talks.

Sigginstown and the general area of Tacumshin are magical places, extremely well known for their birdlife. During the spring many of our native species will breed around the area, and quite a few long distance migrants will join them to breed here, before they set off again in the autumn. Species such as willow warbler, chiffchaff, blackcap and cuckoo are just some of the migrant birds that arrive to the area to breed each year.
