We’re always looking for adults to support the group, both within our sections and behind the scenes. Whether you’d like to work directly with young people or help with the running of the group, there are opportunities to get involved.

Please note: We operate a waiting list. Adults who join as Scouters will have their children prioritised on the waiting list.

A huge thank you to Kilcullen Diary for joining us at our end-of-year BBQ and for sharing these great photos from the evening.

It was fantastic to see so many of our youth members, parents and families come together to celebrate another successful year of Scouting. The evening was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the achievements of our young people and present them with the badges they worked so hard to earn throughout the year.

A special thank you to Nolans of Kilcullen for the fantastic burgers and sausages that kept everyone well fed!

Finally, thank you to all of our youth members for their enthusiasm, commitment and Scout spirit, and to our dedicated team of adult Scouters who give so generously of their time each week. You are what makes our Group such a special place, and we’re already looking forward to another great year of adventures together.

Our Scouts had an incredible time camping in Portlick Scout Campsite, making the most of a packed weekend!

The programme included a fantastic mix of activities, including kayaking, hiking, a fishing trip, archery and crate stacking. The Scouts also put their skills to the test in a Ready Steady Cook challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity in the kitchen!

Of course, no camp would be complete without a classic campfire to round off the evenings, filled with songs, s’mores and plenty of laughs.

Safe to say it was a weekend full of fun!

Beavers Go Lifesaving! 🦫🛟

Our Beavers had an exciting morning at Blessington Lakes with Water Safety Ireland learning valuable water safety skills while having plenty of fun along the way.

After a busy morning, we finished up with some well-earned hot chocolates to warm everyone back up!

A huge thank you to Water Safety Kildare for such a fantastic session. The Beavers had a brilliant time and came away having learned so much!

We are delighted to have received funding through the Local Enhancement Programme, administered by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht. This funding will help support the ongoing running costs of our Scout Group.

A sincere thank you to Kilcullen Diary for sharing the good news with us. We are incredibly grateful for this support and are delighted to receive funding alongside other very deserving local organisations, including Kilcullen Community Action, Camphill Communities and Ballyshannon Community Hall.

A few photo highlights of our Beaver and Cub Camp at Lilliput Adventure Centre! 🏕️

The weather may not have been on our side, but it certainly didn’t dampen spirits!

Friday evening called for a movie night before a full day of adventure on Saturday. Our Beavers and Cubs took on climbing walls, lake activities, bog jumping, capture the flag and orienteering, to name but a few.

We were delighted to have 7th Kildare Rathangan Scouts as our neighbours for the weekend and rounded off Saturday night with a shared campfire together.

The weekend also gave us the opportunity to formally welcome our newest Cub and Scouter to the Group.

A huge well done to all our Beavers and Cubs, who represented the Group brilliantly throughout the weekend.

A big thank you to John Cradock Ltd for their support in helping relocate our equipment container to its new home on site last Friday.
