Our own Joan was delighted to join the Jurassiconians for this special row πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ
For one day, we were all proud Jurassiconians, rowing 22km from Crosshaven to Cork aboard Rex, a beautiful wooden coastal quad, and passing the magnificent A La Nao Santa MarΓa, a full-scale replica of the 15th-century ship.
A huge thank you to 4* Morag for all the organisation and to both Jurassic crews for a fantastic day of rowing.
We’d love to welcome you all to Donegal Bay Rowing Club one day! πŸ™Œ

Huge congratulations to our own Massimo and Joan, together with former club member Rosy, on taking part in today’s beautiful Ocean to City rowing event!

They successfully completed the challenging 22 km course and crossed the finish line safely after a fantastic day on the water. We are incredibly proud of their determination, teamwork, and achievement.

Well done to all three on this wonderful accomplishment! πŸš£β€β™€οΈπŸŒŠπŸ‘

Strong session yesterday on the quad and double with our youth crew. πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ
Quad - Enda cox, Kian, Connor, Colm, Eoin.
Double - Conor & Aoife

Alongside the training, we also had safety boat training with Bella, Katie, Catherine, Conor & Jason, led by experienced boat handler Cathal.
A great opportunity to help junior members build skills, confidence, and experience on the water.
Thank you Cathal for your help!
Huge thanks to all the volunteers, coaches, and family members for the support that makes days like this possible πŸ™Œ

Special thanks to our coaches Catherine, Sharon and Enda for their endless effort, dedication, and the time they put into helping everyone improve β€” truly grateful for everything you do 🫢

Great to see our clubhouse finally sealed with the installation of our Munster Joinery Windows. We would like to thank all the local businesses, designers, trades people and suppliers who helped to make the clubhouse a reality at the pier. We would also like to thank Donegal County Council and the Waterbus for their assistance throughout the process. And to our members who gave of their time and effort we will forever be deeply indebted, many thanks you know who you are!. A great boost to the 2026 season.

What a day for our club at the IIRC in Limerick

We are so incredibly proud of every athlete who took to the floor yesterday.

Congratulations to all our medal winners, your results are a true reflection of the extreme hard work, discipline and dedication you show week after week.

To those making comebacks after injury, your resilience, grit and determination are inspiring.

To the athletes who achieved PBs, you truly pulled out all the stops and showed up as the best versions of yourselves.

A huge well done to those who competed for the first time. It is no small feat to step onto that stage and race against some of the best athletes in Ireland and from all over the world. What an incredible leap and we could not be prouder.

And to the athletes who may not have come home with medals or PBs this time, but showed true lion hearts, courage, determination and commitment, your effort does not go unnoticed. It takes enormous bravery to stand on that floor, to push through nerves, pressure and expectation, and you represent this club with pride.

We also want to recognise the heart of this team, the teammates who coached each other, encouraged each other, got everyone to their races, and cheered, loudly and passionately, from start to finish. That support makes all the difference!.

And to the families and coaches who turn up week after week, who drive hundreds of miles, who give their time, energy and belief so generously, thank you. You are a huge part of every success.

But above all, it is the team spirit that shines brightest. When we stand together as one, we are stronger, louder and unstoppable.
