We’ve been so busy here that we haven’t kept you up to date with happenings on the farm. So here goes!

We’re now growing across FIVE polytunnels plus our outdoor beds

We’re working with an expanding network of organic growers and producers, including Andrew McShea of Tullyhouse Organic Farm, whose certified organic eggs are now available veg boxes

We’ve added four new collection points:

• Barnesmore Gap: The Byre at Biddy's, the family-run pub and restaurant in the heart of the Gap

• Dungloe: Arcade. Dungloe., a creative space bringing art, storytelling and community together

• Kilcar: one of our customers is kindly hosting a temporary collection point while we get the permanent one set up

• Lettermacaward: Gallagher's XL Stop & Shop, serving the village and surrounding community

A big thank you to our hosts for helping more people access local organic food.

Volunteering is still going strong too. Get in touch if you fancy getting your hands dirty (or not so dirty), homemade scones and a bit of craic!

A great tomato harvest this year, with a little help from our volunteers from Ireland, Germany and Gran Canaria. So many different varieties, colours and flavours, all freshly picked and full of taste.

Back to school, back to routine, and a good time to get plenty of hearty organic veg on the table to give them kids a boost. (Order info below)⬇️

Our veg boxes are packed with fresh, certified organic veg grown here in Southwest Donegal. Perfect for soups, roast veg and simple, nourishing meals as we head into autumn.

The box is a fun way to get kids excited about eating veg, they can even follow along with their foods journey by tuning into our weekly what’s happening on the farm highlights.

A simple recipe idea is beef stuffed courgettes with black beans, garlic, onion, tomatoes and basil, topped with halloumi and baked until golden.

Most of the ingredients are straight from the farm veg box. Simple, seasonal and delicious.

Shy by Nature Farm Organic Veg Boxes. If you’ve been thinking about signing up, now is a great time to get involved. Harvest & delivery every Friday.

Our 2026 organic veg boxes are going good, packed with fresh, seasonal vegetables grown here in Inver, Co. Donegal.

What’s in the box?

What you get changes throughout the growing season. That’s part of eating locally and seasonally.

Depending on what’s ready to harvest, boxes can include potatoes, salads, leafy greens, herbs, summer vegetables and plenty of other seasonal produce.

There are three box sizes to choose from:

🥕 Small Box
5 to 6 portions of vegetables
Generally suitable for 1 to 2 people
Prices start from €12

🥦 Medium Box
7 to 9 portions of vegetables
Generally suitable for 2 to 4 people
Prices start from €16

🥬 Large Box
10 to 12 portions of vegetables
A good option for households that get through plenty of fresh veg
Prices start from €21

Sliding Scale Pricing

We use a sliding scale so that people can choose a price that reflects what they can comfortably afford.

For example, the Medium Box has four price options:

Lower €16
Middle €21
High €25
Highest €30

The vegetables in the box are the same whichever level you choose.

The Middle price reflects the cost of producing the box. If you’re in a position to choose one of the higher prices, the extra helps us offer boxes at the Lower price to people who might otherwise find fresh organic produce difficult to afford.

Choose the level that works for you. There’s no need to explain or justify your choice.
