Clonmany Tidy Towns and Christmas Lights Committee extends its heartfelt condolences to the Harkin family on the passing of George.

George carried out the painstaking and unheralded task of dismantling the Christmas lights, seeking no recognition for his efforts. His dedication and quiet contribution were greatly appreciated. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time.

**CLEANUP TUESDAY**

We have a major cleanup effort taking place tomorrow, Tuesday, along the main road from Clonmany to Drumfries, in cooperation with An Garda Síochána. This is a very important initiative, as it’s the main entry route into our parish.

This is one of those events where a big turnout makes the work much easier and quicker, so we’re really hoping to lean on our wider volunteer group for support.

If you can help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

📍 Meet at Clonmany Hall
🕡 Tuesday at 6:30pm
⏰ Please assemble 10–15 minutes beforehand

⚠️ Strictly over 18s only due to road safety requirements.

Thanks everyone.

A local event taking place, read all about it below, well worth the early start!

🌅 Sunrise Walk 2026 🌅

This years sunrise walk is in aid of our local Lough Swilly RNLI - another voluntary organisation that relies on fundraising to keep 'afloat' - your generous support €€ matters more than ever in meeting the costs of saving lives at sea. Volunteer lifesavers give their time for free, but they need training, well-maintained equipment, lifeboats and shore facilities. 🚢

There will be a MARQUEE in the carpark for shelter so please please come along and support our local services (charity belongs closer to home sometimes) 💪🙏

Ample parking down at Binnion courtesy of our good friend Mamie Grant 😊 Bring the whole family. -what a lovely start to your morning.

Refreshments ☕️🫖🥪🧁 served back in car park afterwards.

Please tag your walking buddies, get yourself organised and please SHARE away folks...

*** Donation Buckets *** are in Centra Clonmany, Post Office Clonmany, Brennans chemist and Williams Butchers for anyone who cannot make the walk but would like to make a donation 👏

We’re delighted with the addition of new finger posts at St Mary’s Hall, installed yesterday evening. They look fantastic and will be a valuable help for visitors finding their way around the area.

Our sincere thanks to George Gill and Sons, and Donegal County Council for their support through the Minor Tourism Grant.
