A well attended meet and greet with the 2026 beginners class who are now half way through their course. We were able to see different types of hives, supers, equipment and it was good to be able to put faces to names. Thanks to Gary for the use of his shed.

The introduction to beekeeping course will be starting on the 18 January online.. anyone interested get in contact with us.. its 65 euro which also covers first year's membership to the club

In Appreciation of William Grant

The Inishowen Beekeepers Association would like to pay tribute to the late William Grant, and to express our sincere gratitude for his kindness and generosity over the years.

Willie very kindly allowed our members to use his land for our apiary, something that meant a great deal to the association and to everyone involved in beekeeping in the area. His support provided a safe and welcoming place for learning, sharing knowledge, and caring for our bees, and it played an important role in the life of our group.

Willie’s goodwill, quiet support, and community spirit will not be forgotten. We are deeply thankful for the trust he placed in us and for the contribution he made to local beekeeping.

Our thoughts are with Willie’s family and friends at this time.
May he rest in peace.

Getting numbers organised for our online beginners course.. it will be starting in January.. if your interested send us a message and we will keep you informed..

Another project finished up for the year.. we would like to thank donegal county Council and the local councillors who help us with the grant that enabled us to do this.. we spent the swarm season catching non native bees to try and protect our native honey bees. It's going to be a long project but the signs are good.. until next year

We have organised an information evening at tullyarven mill, buncrana on 10 September at 7pm on the Asian hornets. Please feel free to call in.. the more people that know the better chance we have against them.. small donation of two euro to cover cost of hall n tea/coffee. Thanks
