Our Social Prescribing group recently enjoyed a fantastic bus trip to the beautiful Mount Stewart House & Gardens, spending the day exploring the stunning grounds, connecting with others, and getting out and about.

This was another successful collaboration between Inishowen Development Partnership's Sláintecare Healthy Communities Social Prescribing Project and our Healthy and Active Rural Communities (HARC) Project, creating opportunities for people to build social connections, improve wellbeing, and experience new places.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so enjoyable.

This initiative was supported by the Healthy and Active Rural Communities (HARC) Project, funded through PEACEPLUS and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body - SEUPB

Our Joint CEO, Shauna McClenaghan, and Change Makers Donegal Project Coordinator, Myra McAuliffe, recently attended a meeting with the newly appointed Secretary of State, Chris Bryant, and the Minister for Northern Ireland, Sarah Owen.

This meeting was held at the invitation of the Holywell Trust in Derry.
During the meeting, local stakeholders, including representatives from Playhouse Derry The Junction and Reach Across, discussed both the opportunities and challenges currently facing Derry and the North West Region.

Reflecting IDP's 30 years of cross-border work, Shauna spoke about the need to grow the local economy and harness the potential of our green and blue natural resources here in Inishowen, for the good of the wider region.
We look forward to ongoing collaboration with the Holywell Trust in the coming years.
