Today marked the end to our first Introduction to Healthcare course - and what a great 7 weeks it was!!
Over the course of the programme participants got a real and valuable insight into the healthcare service in Inishowen, as well as certified training courses.
Today we heard from Elena Gill from Donegal ETB about how participants can progress their learning through the ETB. Huge thanks to Elena for taking the time to go through the options are out there

Finally a massive well done to everyone who completed the course today and for your commitment every week

We're delighted to help promote this fantastic opportunity from our HARC project partners, Spraoi agus Spórt, who are delivering exciting Cooking & Baking Summer Camps for young people in Buncrana this July.

These free, week-long camps will give children and young people the chance to learn new culinary skills, build confidence, make friends, and have fun in a welcoming environment.

Some fantastic commitment and creativity on display at our ongoing art classes at Buncrana Youth & Community Development as part of the HARC Project.

Led by tutor Tommy Irwin, participants in the advanced class have begun an exciting journey into portrait sketching. Over the coming weeks, the group will develop their skills step by step, learning techniques in observation, proportion, shading, and expression as they work towards completing their own portraits.

We’re looking forward to seeing the finished portraits as the course continues!
These classes are delivered as part of the HARC project which is PEACEPLUS funded and managed by Special EU Programmes Body - SEUPB

There are just a few places left on our upcoming FREE 6-week Chair Yoga programme in Quigley’s Point, starting tomorrow.
This programme is free for adults aged 55+ and carers, and offers a gentle, accessible way to stay active and support wellbeing.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ethan McLucas.RIP
Ethan was a valued member of our IDP Digital Skills class with Donegal Horizons CLG .
Over the past two years, Ethan engaged with our employment support workshops and was always a pleasure to work with. Our IT trainer often spoke of Ethan’s natural flair for IT and his eagerness to learn- qualities that stood out to everyone who met him.
We are resharing this special moment from our Celebration of Learners 2025 in memory of Ethan. He is pictured here proudly holding his certificate alongside fellow participants — a moment that reflects his commitment, enthusiasm, and the pride he took in his achievements.

Ethan will be fondly remembered by all of us in IDP who had the privelege of knowing him.
Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences are with his parents, siblings, and all his friends and the Donegal Horizons family at this very difficult time.
