Parent & Toddler group this Monday at 9.30am

Monday 15th June at 9.30am sees the return of the Little Lions parent and toddler group to the library. Little Lions is facilitated by our good friends the Carrickmacross Toy Library.

The focus for this edition is gross motor skills.

Come along watch your little one have fun and meet other parents.

As many of you know, The Wooden Play Den is coming to the end of an incredible chapter.

Over the years, I’ve loved supplying toys and resources to families, schools and nurseries across the UK. Before we close our doors, we’d love to give something back.

We’d like to donate a Wooden Play Den Closing Down Bundle to a few schools, nurseries, childminders, community group or organisations that would benefit from additional play resources and/or books.

🎉 What an amazing Open Day we had yesterday at Carrickmacross Toy Library! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who called in throughout the day. We were delighted to welcome so many families through our doors, especially our new members who signed up and our existing members who renewed their memberships.
A special thank you to Erin for the fantastic face painting, and to everyone who volunteered their help throughout the day. We also extend our sincere thanks to the local elected representatives who supported the event, the Chamber of Commerce for helping to promote what we do, Northern Sound Radio for their coverage and to Creative Monaghan for their support for our Cruinniú na nOg Art in the Air exhibition. Special thanks to all the little artists who took part.

The biggest thanks of all goes to the children who filled the room with joy, excitement, laughter, and a wonderfully warm atmosphere. You are what makes our Toy Library community so special. ❤️

We were also delighted to unveil some fantastic new additions to our collection, including our new giant Jenga set and our new road signs set, which proved very popular with our young visitors!

Yesterday’s event was a wonderful reminder of what makes our Toy Library so special, a community built on fun, friendship, play, and connection.

We’re back open this Monday, 8th June, from 9:00am to 12:00 noon, and we look forward to seeing you all then!
