Founder Lousie Moran:

Louise, mother to Oisin who has Autism, imagines a world of greater understanding, where everyone can feel both accepted and included. Louise and her family lived in Perth Australia for 10 years, the combination of an early diagnosis, early intervention and school age therapy is the reason Oisin is the outgoing boy he is today. After moving home from Australia to Ireland, and seeing how families are in great need of more help and services is the reason for founding Autism Heroes. The difference it can make to a child is literally life changing.

As we head out trick-or-treating this Halloween, let's remember that every child experiences the world differently.

A few little reminders to help make Halloween inclusive for everyone:

🧡 Some children may need extra time to answer the door, choose a treat or feel comfortable.

🧡 Not every child will knock on doors or follow the usual Halloween traditions.

🧡 Be patient, be kind and celebrate every little victory.

Halloween isn't about how a child communicates, what they wear or how old they are. It's about making memories, having fun and feeling included.

A little understanding can make a BIG difference.

We are heartbroken for little Noah and his family.

Another family devastated by the horrific reality that autistic children are 160 times more likely to drown than their neurotypical peers. 💔

Swimming lessons are, and will remain, at the very top of our priorities at Autism Heroes. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn these potentially lifesaving skills.

Thinking of Noah and his family at this heartbreaking time.
