Irish Ice Hockey Association The IIHA is the official National Governing Body (NGB) of Ice Hockey in Ireland and is a not for profit Organisation. Our website is www.iiha.org.

The IIHA is a not for profit organisation fully incorporated in the Republic of Ireland. The Irish Ice Hockey Association was established in 1996. The IIHA is the official NGB of Ice Hockey in Ireland. The IIHA is a not for profit organisation. The IIHA is a full member with both the (IIHF) International Ice Hockey Federation and (OCI) Olympic Council of Ireland. To date the IIHA is not a full mem

ber of the Irish Sports Council, however a solid working relationship has been established between the two bodies in recent years. The IIHA operates on a democratic basis and follows the guidelines set down in its Memorandum & Articles of Association.

After 3 days of amazing hockey, Ireland Select has came out on top and are crowned the 2026 Connection Cup Champions.
The team work, comradery and all round great vibes of this weekend show that women's hockey is alive and well on the island of Ireland.

Massive thank you to Mass Kraken, Chicago X-Factor and Drunk Zamboni for helping make this years tournament such a success.

Thank you to the officials, time keepers and photographers for coming out in support of this event. It couldn't happen without you guys.

GET TO KNOW THE TEAMS:

Mass Kraken began as a random group of friends who knew each other
from various leagues and teams, and joined together to experience Iceland
in 2023. Since then, our roster continues to expand and evolve as we
journeyed to Chamonix in 2025 and now Ireland. All are welcome as we
experience world travel with a side of hockey and great times with old
friends as we meet new ones! We look forward to other tournaments and
sharing our love for the game with the international teams. Slainte!!

Drunk Zamboni is a hodgepodge social crew hailing from all over the U.S. The fun and
camaraderie of women& #39;s hockey and the occasional drinks bring us all together. We are
a true melting pot of experience, whether in life, hockey, random travels, and whiskey
choices. We enjoy creating great stories and memories on and off the ice. We& #39;re
grateful for the opportunity to play in Belfast. We can& #39;t wait to share the ice, and
perhaps a few shots, with everyone. We look forward to meeting new hockey buddies!
