As part of the turn of the millennium, Ireland combined modern celebrations with its ancient Celtic roots. Facilitated by historian John Stephens RIP in May 2000, Ballingarry celebrated Bealtaine. Events on the day included archaeological talks at the site of the Crannóg and Fulacht Fiadh in Lough Nahinch, refreshments at Mooneys cottage, an ecumenical service in the native oak forest at Kenny’s and the day ended with song, dance and the lighting of the Bealtaine fire on top of Knockshegowna Hill.

New Parent & Toddler group starting in Carrig Parish Hall starting Friday 4th of September from 9.30am - 11am. A warm and welcoming place where parents, grandparents, carers and little ones can come together to play, chat, laugh and make new friends. We believe in creating a relaxed, inclusive space where children can explore through play while grown-ups enjoy a cuppa, good company and the support of a caring community.
Whether you're looking to meet other families, enjoy fun activities with your little one or simply get out of the house for a morning, you'll always receive a warm welcome. Our motto, Gentle Minds, Growing Hearts, reflects our belief in nurturing kindness, connection and happy childhoods.
