We were delighted to welcome Buster and his owner, Kate, from the Irish Therapy Dogs Foundation for another visit! 🐾

These visits have now become a weekly highlight, bringing smiles, joy, and plenty of cuddles to brighten our clients’ days. ❤️

Irish Therapy Dogs is a registered voluntary charity whose approved volunteers and their dogs visit the residents of an assigned Care Centre once per week for approximately one hour to bring them the therapeutic benefits of canine companionship.

Bloomin’ fantastic news for Ballincollig

The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Damian Boylan, has congratulated Ballincollig on its superb success at the Communities in Bloom International Challenge Showcase Awards in Montreal, Canada, last night where the town won two major awards on the world stage.
The town won the Best International Town in its ‘medium towns’ category, and it also won the Outstanding Achievement Award for International Plant and Floral Displays.
“This is a wonderful achievement for Ballincollig and a proud moment for Cork City,” the Lord Mayor said.
“These awards recognise the dedication of Ballincollig Tidy Towns volunteers and the strength of the partnership between the local community and Cork City Council.
“And this international recognition shows what can be achieved when communities and local authorities work together.”
