πŸ“šπŸŒΏ Join Us for a Special Book Launch & Panel Discussion on Pesticides πŸŒΏπŸ“š

The Cork Biodiversity Hub is delighted to host The Environmental Forum's launch of Pink Bucket: Glyphosate and My Cancer Journey by Dolar Vasani on Saturday, 20 June, from 11am–1pm.

This powerful and deeply personal book explores one woman's experience of cancer while opening up a wider conversation about glyphosate, environmental health, food systems, and the choices we make every day.

The event will feature a special conversation between Dr. Rupa Maryaβ€”physician, researcher and authorβ€”and Dolar Vasani, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of pesticides and their impacts on health and the environment.

We are also pleased to welcome Thomas O'Connor, farmer and co-owner of Manna Organic Store in Kerry, alongside researchers and health professionals who will share their perspectives and insights.
Whether you are a health professional, food producer, environmental advocate, book lover, or simply curious to learn more, this promises to be a thought-provoking and engaging event.

Yesterday, we were delighted to celebrate the first year of Cork Biodiversity Hub with the unveiling of our beautiful community mural.

A special thank you to Senator Garret Kelleher, who officially marked the occasion by cutting the ribbon and joining us for the celebration.

The mural, led by artist Julie Forrester, is the result of many hands coming together last summer, before being carefully assembled over the following months.

This project was made possible through a Creative Communities Grant, funded by Creative Ireland and supported by Cork City Council. We are deeply grateful for their support.

Here’s to our first year and thanks to all our volunteers, speakers, and everyone who has come to and supported our events.
