Over the years, the Fairy Trail in Ballincollig Regional Park has brought a little magic to generations of local and visiting families, growing from a handful of fairy doors into one of the park's most loved attractions.

Watering Solutions

In response to the National Hose Ban, we have reviewed our water supply sources to maintain the level in our planter reservoirs. We identified several alternative sources and on Friday evening we drew water from the river at the bridge in Curraheen Village. With the assistance of a submersible pump and a portable generator we filled both tankers in a short time. We will continue to use this source until the ban is lifted.

From innovative solutions to keep summer planters watered during the hose ban, to the successful completion of our Himalayan Balsam project, another busy week has seen our CE team and volunteers making a real difference across Ballincollig.
