TODAY AT THE HAUNTED HOUSE ON THE HILL!

The wait is over! The Ardnaree Sarsfields GAA Club Haunted House on The Hill opens its doors today (Bank Holiday Monday, Oct 26th), kicking off with dedicated afternoon sessions for children and families!

⏰ Today’s Schedule (Bank Holiday Monday)
💜 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Autism-Friendly Sensory Hour
Special quiet hour designed for those with additional needs.
Reduced sound and light adjustments for a welcoming environment.

Hosted in association with Ballina Autism Friendly Town & Ardnaree Foróige
🎟️ Admission: No cover charge! (Donations are warmly welcomed)

🎃The Haunted House on the Hill welcomes it's first guests tomorow (Bank Holiday Monday) from 3-4pm with the Sensory Hour for those with additional needs in association with Ardnaree Foroige and 👻
There is no cover charge for the Sensory Hour, donations welcome!

What a wonderful night for Mayo!

We had a fantastic evening at the 2026 The IPB Pride of Place Awards last night and were absolutely delighted to receive Runner-Up in the Inclusive Communities category! 🏆

The Pride of Place Awards are an all-Ireland competition that celebrates the vital work carried out by communities across the island of Ireland, recognising the dedication, pride and community spirit of local groups who make their areas better places to live.

A huge thank you to Mayo County Council for nominating us and to everyone who supports BAFT and helps make Ballina a more inclusive and autism-friendly town. We’re so proud of our community and what we continue to achieve together. 💜

Congratulations to Foxford Alzheimer’s Community Trust (FACT) on their fantastic win in the Age Friendly Communities category! 👏 A brilliant achievement and a wonderful night for Mayo! 💚❤️

IPB Pride of Place Awards 2026

We are absolutely delighted that BAFT has received the Runner-Up award in the Inclusive Communities category at the 2026 Pride of Place Awards! 🎉

We are incredibly proud of this recognition and would like to thank everyone who has supported BAFT and helped make Ballina a more autism-friendly and inclusive town. This achievement belongs to our wonderful community, our dedicated volunteers, local organisations, businesses and everyone who continues to champion inclusion.

A special congratulations to Foxford Alzheimer’s Community Trust (FACT) on winning their Age Friendly Communities category! 👏 What a fantastic achievement for Mayo!

We would also like to congratulate all the nominees and winners on the incredible work they do in their communities.

Thank you to Mayo County Council for nominating us and to the Pride of Place judges for recognising the work taking place in Ballina.

We’re so proud of Ballina and look forward to continuing our work to make our town a place where everyone feels welcome, accepted and included 💜

• You’ll also find public car parks in town, all within 5 minutes walking distance to the Convent.
