Mighty Oaks Foundation 恩橡基金會 Mighty Oaks was established by a group of Christian professionals and commenced services in Hong Kong in 2014.

We believe in a society that celebrates the interdependence and shared contributions of all generations by improving well-being, mutual learning, and stronger community bonds for elders and youth through sustained iGen connections.

跨代共融，促進老少持續連結和互相學習。 We believe every elderly person deserves to live with dignity, purpose, hope and love. Our mission is to create an age friendly society by transfo

rming lives and communities.We collaborate widely to build connections and friendships between old and young through innovative intergenerational programmes.

跨代音樂會為「賽馬會幸福跨代口琴樂」中的一部分，希望讓長者和青年人獲得寶貴的演出經驗，亦可以互動進行合奏，促進跨代理解和共融。音樂會將匯聚來自不同中心的老友記和不同學校的學生參與表演，節目包括大型合奏和小組演奏，老友記和學生將會為大家帶來精彩絕倫的跨代音樂演出。此外，活動亦邀請到專業醫護人員進行健康講座，讓大家在享受音樂的同時，也能獲得健康知識的分享。

最後一位學生的分享，讓我們再次看見：付出與收穫，往往同時發生。
The final reflection reminds us that giving and receiving often happen together.

呂同學 Susie ：
「作為一名外地學生，我原本以為這是單向的付出。沒想到，一邊陪老友記聊天，一
邊練習廣東話；一邊曬著太陽奔波，一邊收穫滿滿的笑容與成就感。養老院職員說，
有些長輩前一晚興奮到失眠。原來一次簡單的出遊，對他們來說可以這麼有意義。這
不是付出，而是彼此療癒的旅程。」
"As a non-local student, I originally thought this was a one-way act of giving. But
unexpectedly, while chatting with the elders, I practiced my Cantonese; while running around
under the sun, I received endless smiles and a deep sense of achievement. A staff member at
the elderly home told me that some of them were so excited they couldn’t sleep the night
before. A simple outing can mean so much to them. This wasn’t about giving – it was a
journey of mutual healing."

上週的跨代外出活動中，一位學生記錄下了她最深刻的體會。
During last week’s intergenerational outing, one student shared a reflection close to her heart.

劉同學 Abbi：
「起初以為做義工就是推輪椅、帶路、確保安全。後來才發現，最重要的不是做了什
麼，而是他們感受到了什麼。有老友記因為太期待，前一晚興奮到睡不著；有人在參
觀時拉著我分享年輕時的故事；更多人只是靜靜地享受被陪伴的當下。看到他們臉上
綻放的笑容，我突然明白——幸福其實很簡單，用心陪伴就足夠珍貴。」
"At first, I thought volunteering was just about pushing wheelchairs, guiding the way, and
ensuring safety. But later I realized – what matters most is not what I did, but what they felt.
Some elders were so excited that they couldn't sleep the night before. One elder shared stories
from their youth while we walked; many others simply enjoyed the quiet comfort of having
company. Seeing the smiles on their faces, I suddenly understood – happiness is actually very
simple. Heartfelt companionship is already precious enough."

🐧 一場充滿歡笑的跨代相遇
A joyful intergenerational encounter

作為連結長幼的橋樑，我們很榮幸成為這趟旅程的同行者。
On this journey, we were grateful to serve as a bridge between generations.

5月8日，余振強紀念安老院的老友記，與香港大學「Lead for Life」計劃的學生，一同走進海洋公園。在出行前，學生們接受了關於輪椅使用及照顧長者外出的專業指導，讓這趟旅程多一份安心，也多一份尊重。
On May 8, elders from Yu Chun Keung Memorial Care and Attention Home, joined students from HKU’s Lead for Life programme for a visit to Ocean Park. Prior training on wheelchair handling and elderly care helped ensure the outing was safe, respectful, and inclusive.

在展館中慢慢探索、迎著海風聊天，一個看似平凡的日子，因為真誠的陪伴，成為彼
此心中溫柔而難忘的回憶。
Through exploring exhibits, sharing conversations, and enjoying the sea breeze, a simple day
became a heartfelt memory — shaped by presence and care.

stood on a large stage for the very first time,

合奏《奇異恩典》與《You’re My Sunshine》。🎵
performing “Amazing Grace” and “You Are My Sunshine.” 🎵

有人曾懷疑自己的年齡、能力與信心，
Many once doubted themselves —their age, their ability, their confidence.

但在愛與社區的鼓勵下，
But through love and the encouragement of the community,

他們完成了一件從未想過可以做到的事。
they achieved something they never thought possible.

這不只是一場演出，
This was more than a performance.

而是一個重新得力、重拾尊嚴的生命見證。🫂
It was a testimony of renewed faith, courage, and dignity. 🫂

當長者被看見、被肯定，
When seniors are seen and affirmed,

音樂便成為連結世代的橋樑。

April 24, Mighty Oaks’ Intergenerational Music Event - Chong Nam and Leanne shared that intergenerational relationships within families are often shaped by the words we speak each day.

一句話，可以成為傷害；也可以成為上帝祝福流動的管道。✨
Words can wound, but they can also become channels of God’s blessing. ✨

當愛取代定罪，上帝便能更新家庭，
When love replaces judgment, God renews families

讓盼望代代相傳，而不是痛苦。
and allows hope, not pain, to be passed down through generations.

願我們由今日開始，為家人多一句鼓勵，
May we begin today by speaking one more word of encouragement

讓祝福流向下一代。💛
