【改寫生命故事：梓諾的故事 💙】

今年七歲的梓諾患有先天性肌張力不足及發展遲緩，但臨床檢查和基因測試一直未能找出潛在病因。

有賴一眾善長的慷慨支持，在SRDC的資助下，港大醫學院鍾侃言醫生的研究團隊利用最先進的多組學技術，最終成功發現 DDX39B基因的突變會引發神經發育障礙綜合症，解釋梓諾及全球另外5宗相似病例。

展望未來，我們期望多組學技術不僅能幫助更多罕見病患者尋獲遺傳病因，更能為精準的個人化治療奠定堅實基礎，讓更多像梓諾一樣的孩子重獲希望 🌳☀️

【Transforming Lives: Torres’s Story 💙】

Torres is a seven-year-old boy with congenital hypotonia and developmental delay. Despite extensive clinical investigations and genetic testing, no cause was identified.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors and SRDC, Dr. Brian Chung's research team at HKUMed used multi-omics technologies to discover a novel disease-causing gene, DDX39B, linked to Torres's neurodevelopmental syndrome, as well as five similar cases worldwide.

Looking ahead, we hope multi-omics will not only help to uncover genetic causes of rare diseases but also pave the way for personalized treatments, bringing hope to more children like Torres 🌳☀️

五歲的 Shing Hei 患有肌肉病變並接受了氣管造口術，日常需依賴呼吸機維持呼吸。

除了生動有趣嘅木偶劇，現場嘅互動問答環節亦非常熱烈 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️！希望透過今次活動，將「平等共融」同「互相接納」嘅訊息帶畀每一位小朋友 ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum for the warm invitation! 🙌

SRDC’s Kids on the Block programme was thrilled to perform at "Camp Bruce Lee Hong Kong 2026", delivering 3 fun-filled shows over two days! 🥋💛

Through lively puppet stories, our characters brought messages of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to life. Kids were completely captivated and eagerly raised their hands during our interactive Q&A 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️! It was unforgettable seeing them embrace empathy and mutual respect with such joy ❤️
