Fellowship in Action: Rotary Club of Shouson Hill Evening Dinner Gathering

This Monday, we brought together members and cross-sector guests from around the world for a warm, convivial outdoor dinner, centered on Rotary’s shared values of service, integrity and collective impact.

Over good food and thoughtful dialogue, attendees exchanged ideas on scalable community initiatives, cross-cultural collaboration and how we can deepen our work to support beneficiaries across Hong Kong. These in-person gatherings are the foundation of our club’s impact: they turn individual passion into coordinated action, and strengthen the bonds that make our service work sustainable.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined and contributed to such a constructive, uplifting evening. We look forward to advancing our shared service goals alongside this growing, global community.

It was a pleasure gathering for an evening of meaningful networking and catch-ups over dinner at the Hong Kong Country Club.

We recently admitted new member to our chapter. Bringing together people from diverse backgrounds and industries, these intentional evening gatherings lay the groundwork for future collaboration and shared community impact. In-person conversations remain one of the most valuable ways to exchange perspectives, build rapport, and strengthen ties across our diverse Rotary community.

We look forward to building on these connections in the months ahead.

The Rotary Club of Shouson Hill was delighted to host members and guests from diverse nationalities for dinner gatherings, in the spirit of our club motto: Fun, Active + Benevolent.

The evening brought together shared meals, meaningful conversation and plenty of laughter — connections that sit at the heart of our work. From our signature Hockey 40 project supporting children from low-income families to our international service initiatives, these moments of fellowship build the goodwill and lasting friendships that power our charitable impact.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to turning these connections into meaningful action for our community in the months ahead.

🌍✨ 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗰𝗼-𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮! 💚♻️

It was wonderful to see 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 featured in the South China Morning Post yesterday for her inspiring journey of transforming plastic waste into sustainable fashion. 👏

What makes this recognition even more special to us is that we have had the privilege of watching Ella grow up alongside our Rotary family. 💙

From joining our 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 at a young age, to writing and publishing the 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 in three languages during the pandemic - with all profits supporting Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association 香港導盲犬協會 (HKGDA) through our Club - Ella has always believed that creativity should serve a greater purpose.

Most recently, proceeds from her 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 during her studies at Green School Bali were donated to support our 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮, helping inspire the next generation to care for our environment. 🌱🌏

Anyone who knows Ella knows that this isn't about recognition. She has always quietly given her time, talent and heart to causes she believes in. ❤️

We are incredibly proud to see her receiving this well-deserved recognition and even prouder that she continues to demonstrate how one young person can make a meaningful impact on both communities and our planet.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮! We can't wait to see where your creativity and passion take you next. 🌟

We are proud to announce that we recently co-led a hockey event at Go Park, Hong Kong.

We brought together a vibrant community of around 100 participants, a fantastic mix of local youth and international expats, for an action-packed afternoon of hockey. What makes this event particularly special is the organiser was the first authorized to host hockey games at this venue. This achievement shows our commitment to serve local communities and engage audiences through different initiatives.

A huge thank you to everyone who played, cheered, and made this event a success.
