🌊 World Ocean Day 2026
🗓️Today, we celebrate the ocean. From the smallest forms of life hidden beneath its waters to the most majestic marine mammals, we celebrate the unique biodiversity it sustains and the countless lives that depend on it.
🐳But today, we also celebrate people. The scientists who dedicate their lives to researching and understanding the sea. The individuals working in the field every day. The environmental organizations striving to protect marine ecosystems. And all those who love the ocean and choose to care for and protect it.
🌏Because the ocean is not simply an ecosystem. It is the source of life, a regulator of our climate, and one of our most important allies in securing the future of our planet.
🎥And in just one week from today, the first film festival dedicated exclusively to the sea, the , the AMoS Film Festival, begins. Through stories, images, and discussions, we will celebrate the power, beauty, and urgent need to protect the marine world.

🌊Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ωκεανών 2026
🗓️Σήμερα γιορτάζουμε τον ωκεανό. Από την μικρότερη μορφή ζωής που κρύβεται στα νερά του, μέχρι τα πιο επιβλητικά θαλάσσια θηλαστικά. Γιορτάζουμε τη μοναδική βιοποικιλότητα που φιλοξενεί και τις αμέτρητες ζωές που εξαρτώνται από αυτόν.
🐳Γιορτάζουμε, όμως, και τους ανθρώπους. Τους επιστήμονες που αφιερώνουν τη ζωή τους στην έρευνα και κατανόηση της θάλασσας. Τους ανθρώπους που εργάζονται καθημερινά στο πεδίο. Τις περιβαλλοντικές οργανώσεις που αγωνίζονται για την προστασία των θαλάσσιων οικοσυστημάτων. Και όλους εκείνους που αγαπούν τη θάλασσα και επιλέγουν να τη φροντίζουν και να την προστατεύουν.
🌏Γιατί ο ωκεανός δεν είναι απλώς ένα οικοσύστημα. Είναι η πηγή της ζωής, ο ρυθμιστής του κλίματος και ένας από τους σημαντικότερους συμμάχους μας για το μέλλον του πλανήτη.
🎥Και σε μία εβδομάδα από σήμερα, ξεκινά το πρώτο φεστιβάλ κινηματογράφου αφιερωμένο αποκλειστικά στη θάλασσα, το AMoS Film Festival. Μέσα από ιστορίες, εικόνες και συζητήσεις, θα γιορτάσουμε τη δύναμη, την ομορφιά και την ανάγκη προστασίας του θαλάσσιου κόσμου.
