Supporting Talent, Celebrating Success

We are proud to celebrate the graduation of our WISTA Hellas Scholars from the MSc in International Shipping, Finance & Management at Athens University of Economics and Business - Οικονομικό Παν. Αθηνών, and the MBA in Shipping at the Alba Graduate Business School.

Supporting education and professional development remains at the heart of WISTA Hellas' mission to empower women in the maritime industry. Seeing our scholars reach this important milestone is a testament to the value of investing in talent and the future of shipping.

We warmly congratulate Dimitra Konstantinou and Christina Sarantou on this achievement and wish them every success as they continue their professional journey. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in the maritime sector.

🎓 WISTA Hellas X Alba MBA in Shipping Scholarship 2026 – 2027

WISTA Hellas, in collaboration with Alba Graduate Business School, continues to support the advancement of women in the maritime industry by offering one full scholarship (100%) for the Alba MBA in Shipping for the 2026–2027 academic year.

This initiative is part of the “Women in Shipping Scholarship Series,” reflecting one of WISTA Hellas' core missions: to foster the professional growth of women in shipping by expanding access to high-quality education, strengthening leadership capabilities, and creating opportunities for lifelong learning and networking.

Who can apply:
✅ Women working, or aiming to work, in the maritime sector
✅ Aged 25+
✅ Holders of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (including Merchant Marine Academies)
✅ Minimum 3 years of work experience
✅ Fluent in English
✅ Strong recommendations from employers and/or professor, and interview performance

WISTA membership is not required to apply.

Priority will be given to:
🔹 Applicants in need of financial assistance
🔹 Persons with special needs
🔹 Mothers of 3+ children or with a child with special needs

🎓 WISTA Hellas x BCA College Scholarship 2026 - 2027

WISTA Hellas continues its commitment to supporting women in the maritime sector by advancing access to high-quality academic education, in collaboration with BCA College, through one full scholarship (100% of tuition fees, excluding the £1,200 University of West London registration fees) for one of the following postgraduate programs:

✔️ MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management
✔️ MSc in Shipping Business
✔️ MSc in Marine Engineering Management

📌 The program can be in English or Greek, depending on demand.
📚 Study options: Full-time (1 year) or Part-time (2 years)
📅 Start Dates: October 2026 (Fall Semester) or February (Spring Semester)

On Day of the Seafarer, we recognize the people who keep global trade moving, often under demanding and high-risk conditions that remain unseen to most of us. ⚓

This year’s International Maritime Organization - IMO campaign, “Carrying world trade. Carrying the risks”, highlights the realities of life at sea and the pressures seafarers face, particularly in high-risk and conflict-affected areas.

At WISTA Hellas, we join the global maritime community in acknowledging seafarers’ vital contribution, resilience and dedication, as well as the risks and sacrifices behind their work.

Today, we thank seafarers everywhere for all they carry in support of world trade.

Today, on International Day of the Oceans, we celebrate more than the vast waters that connect our continents. we recognize the vital role that the world's oceans play in connecting us all and in making our global community possible.

For our association, the oceans represent the foundation of an industry that brings people, businesses, and communities together across the globe. They are the highways of international trade, the link between markets, and the reason our professional network extends far beyond borders.

As Wista continues to grow, we are united by a shared profession, common values, and a commitment to supporting one another.
