For Day 6 of , we want to give a huge shout-out to Mick, Anderson, and Billy. Three incredible volunteers who help keep things running behind the scenes!
Mick, our resident antique expert and restoration wizard, spends countless hours rolling up his sleeves and bringing new life to old, quirky, and forgotten items. Where others might see a dusty chair or a tarnished piece of brass, Mick sees potential, a hidden treasure just waiting to shine again.
With an incredible eye for value and detail, he carefully restores, repairs, and polishes each piece until it’s ready to take pride of place on our shop floor. Thanks to Mick’s passion for all things vintage and unusual, we’re able to turn unique donations into vital funds that support the YVC.
A huge thank you also goes to Anderson, who carries out our PAT testing. His work helps ensure that donated electrical items are safe, reliable, and ready for their next home. His dedication and attention to detail play a vital role in maintaining high standards and giving customers confidence in the items they purchase.
And then there’s Billy, our go-to fixer. Whether it’s repairing furniture, mending equipment, or tackling those jobs that seem impossible, Billy is always willing to lend his skills and find a solution. His practical know-how and can-do attitude make a real difference every day.
Together, Mick, Anderson, and Billy help transform donations, keep our shop running smoothly, and support the important work of the YVC. They’re masters of their crafts, valued members of the team, and always bring character, skill, and a bit of magic to what we do.
