Why SchoolBags? 🎒❤️

Education helps people to shape their ‘social identity’, framing their understanding of themselves and their relationships with other people.

At School in a Bag, we believe that education is a key force in the sustainable, ethical and independent development of nations. The trickle down effect of educating the next generation will help to alleviate poverty and impact thousands of lives internationally in the future. 🙏🏻

Education is a basic human right, and it is our duty to protect it.

Did you know, 2 in 3 children globally can’t read and understand a simple story by the age of 10 years old. (UNICEF )

That is over half of the world’s young learners struggling before they even reach their teens. It shows why access to school isn’t enough, children need support, encouragement and everyday resources to truly learn. 🎒❤️

That’s where a simple SchoolBag comes in, filled with exercise books and stationery to help turn schooling into meaningful and enhanced learning.

Follow us to be part of change that goes beyond school attendance to real learning outcomes.

Could your school help make a real difference to a child’s education? 🌍🎒

Through our free school assemblies and SchoolBag packing experiences, we give pupils the opportunity to learn about education poverty and, most importantly, do something to help.

A huge thank you to the wonderful students and teachers at Churcher's College for their incredible support who, whole-school assembly, pupils got stuck into the packing line, filling an amazing 145 SchoolBags with the essential supplies children need to learn, grow and build a brighter future.

The school’s two days of support were rounded off with a fantastic non-uniform day, raising even more money to support our work. 🌟

Contact our Schools Team at [email protected] to find out more about our free assemblies and SchoolBag packing experiences.

Together, we can work towards eradicating education poverty. 🌍🎒

Last week, our founder Luke had the privilege of sharing the powerful story of School in a Bag to those attending the Annual Conference. ❤️🎒

Following the presentation, the team got work and got involved in packing SchoolBags, which will be sent to children in Mumbai, helping provide them with the essential school supplies they need to access and engage with education. ✏️🎒

A huge thank you to the Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust for the incredible opportunity, and to everyone who took part in packing the bags. 💙

Your generosity in action 🎒🇳🇵

Our Emergency Flood Appeal raised £3,550, beating our £2,500 target. The full amount has now gone to School in a Bag, funding 142 SchoolBags for children in flood-affected communities in Nepal.

Each bag is full of learning essentials. These ones also include colouring books and a disaster-awareness book, to help children get back to learning after the floods.

Thank you to everyone who gave and shared. 💛
