Last night, staff and cadets got to show off their skills as they enjoyed an evening of bowling at Hollywood Bowl.

It was a relaxed evening where cadets were able to socialise and catch up with cadets they may not have seen for a while.

Earlier this month, 2 of our cadets attended a civic event held by the Mayor of Yeovil at St Johns Church.

During the event, they were both presented with new Mayor's Cadet badges.

Congratulations to the cadets who were presented with a total of 5 badges during last weeks parade.

Badges presented include a silver Duke of Edinburgh award, silver cyber, blue music, and 2 blue leadership awards.

Last week, 2 Yeovil cadets joined cadets from across the country for a week long Gold Cyber course. This course is run by RAF cyber specialists at Number 1 Radio School at Royal Air Force Cosford.

During the course, they learnt about cyber safety, national and international cyber law, cyber warfare, and system defence.

Congratulations to all the cadets who attended and gained their Gold Cyber award!

Over the weekend, 12 cadets from across Devon and Somerset Wing attended a training weekend held at 1955 City of Wells Squadron.
During the weekend, cadets had the opportunity to complete either the Bronze Radio award, or the CREST Discovery award.

Congratulations to the 7 cadets who gained their Bronze Radio award, and the 5 cadets who completed the CREST Discovery award.

This weekend after 8 months of intense training, practice walks, and overnight camping, 10 Yeovil cadets took part in the annual Ten Tors Challenge on Dartmoor, split across 3 different teams.

Over the 2 day event, 4 cadets took part in the 35 mile route, 4 cadets in the 45 mile route, and 2 cadets in the 55 mile route.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this years Ten Tors challenge, and thank you to everyone involved in organising the event!

During last nights Mayor Making Ceremony, 2 of our cadets were selected to be Mayors cadets for the next 12 months.

As part of this role, the cadets will accompany the Mayor during various engagements across the town throughout the year.

Thank you to the Mayor of Yeovil for continuing to support our Squadron, and for giving 2 of our cadets this opportunity.

Last weekend, cadets from our Squadron went to Exeter Arena for this years Wing Athletics competition, to compete against other Squadrons in Devon and Somerset.

During the competition, cadets from across the Wing took part in events including shot put, long jump, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, and Relay.

On Saturday we held a Squadron Fundraiser at Tesco Extra in Yeovil, during which we raised a fantastic £952.22 for the Squadron!
