Bringing together naval aviation heritage and future of maritime aviation.
Over 100 delegates from across the Royal Navy, the wider defence community and industry joined us at the Navy Wings Heritage Hangar at RNAS Yeovilton for our Future Maritime Air Industry Day yesterday.
With unmanned and autonomous capabilities set to play an increasingly important role in the future of maritime aviation, the event brought together key voices from defence and industry to share insight, explore emerging capabilities and strengthen the partnerships that will help deliver the Hybrid Navy.
We were honoured to welcome RAdm Anthony Rimington RN, Director of Force Generation and Rear Admiral Fleet Air Arm, who delivered the keynote address, and Cdre Steve Bolton RN, Deputy Director Aviation Programmes and Futures, whose presentation explored the future of the Hybrid Air Wing.
The programme also featured valuable contributions from across the defence and technology sectors, covering operational trials, future maritime capability, engineering data management and emerging interceptor technologies.
Our sincere thanks go to our principal sponsors, Lockheed Martin, ALTEN | Quick Release and Greenjets, and also to HeliOperations and Revolution Audio for their generous support in making the event possible.
We are also grateful to all our speakers, contributors and delegates for their time, expertise and engagement, helping make the day such a success.
At Navy Wings, we maintain and fly a unique collection of nationally important historic naval aircraft, keeping alive the innovation, ingenuity and achievements of previous generations. Hosting this event provided a fitting opportunity to bring that heritage into conversation with the technologies and capabilities shaping the future of maritime aviation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us.
