Downs Farm Trust Animal Rescue Charity

Downs Farm Trust is a registered animal rescue charity based in Yalding, Kent. We would consider taking in any animal that needed our help.

Registered Charity number- 1101181
Donations can be made via Paypal using the email address [email protected] and are always gratefully received. We would then either find them a forever home or keep them here at the farm to provide ongoing care for as long as they needed it. We are committed to animal welfare and educating the public on animal welfare related issues. I am also a fully qualified and registered veterinary nurse with a deep love of all animals.

Today we had to say goodbye to darling Pasha…. She has been unwell the last couple of weeks and today had surgery to remove her spleen but the tumours were too far spread and we made the best decision for her.

Run free gorgeous girl…. Go find Maggie and all the others….. you will forever be our Puppa Bear

Please could all our supporters nominate us…. We would love to win!
With winter upon us and prices of feed and bedding sky high we could really use the prize…. It’s a real struggle at the moment to keep up with all the costs and we refuse to compromise on the standard of care for the animals!

We could receive a £5,000 donation with your help through the Movement for Good Draw.

Massive thanks to the wonderful team at Maximum Animal Health - Equine for my prize after my photo of Oaks and Gem in Winter won a competition

Their supplements are amazing and I use them all for the horses and the dogs and have great results with them

Winning a prize is the icing on the cake!

Anyone local to DA18 or can get there….

We desperately need a large quanta of water for horses who are without water and have been for several days.

Kind people are trying their best but the horses drink it all within minutes…. We need to get a better quantity to them

I don’t have any means of transporting water…..

Any farmers etc who could help?

Today is a very sad day 😢😢

We have had to say goodbye to 2 of our long time residents

Truffle the pig and Sammy the goat

Truffle was an older pig who suffered from arthritis in her back legs and has been on pain medication keeping her comfortable for a while but things had deteriorated over the last couple of weeks.

Sammy was only 2&1/2 but suffered from a congenital bone laxity condition which has progressed rapidly over the last 6 months.
Until yesterday he was managing really well on his pain meds but today it was obvious that things were only going to get worse

We had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye

Their welfare comes first always but my heart is broken 💔

Run pain free now my darlings ###

Most people spend a sunny Sunday in the garden or down the pub having a lovely relaxing time

But no not here at DFT- we’ve spent it doing a big muck out of the pigs, sheep, goats and rabbits

All the old bed taken out, a good sweep and clean and lovely fresh bed put in….. back breaking work but has to be done

These guys didn’t help at all 😂😂

I was so hot earlier I was thinking about joining her!
Darling Truffle keeping cool ❤️
