The Worthing Veterans Association have been busy visiting local businesses to say thank you for the support they receive throughout the year.

A simple thank you goes a long way, and the Association wanted to show their appreciation for everything these businesses do for veterans in our community.

🇬🇧 Saturday 27th June – Armed Forces Day in Worthing 🇬🇧

Join us in Steyne Gardens from 10am to 4pm for a day dedicated to celebrating, honouring and supporting the men and women who serve, and have served, in our Armed Forces.

Enjoy military displays, equipment demonstrations, live entertainment, family activities, food and drink, and the opportunity to meet members of the services. The day will also feature a spectacular Spitfire flypast, helping to make this a memorable occasion for all ages.

Whether you have a military connection or simply want to show your appreciation, everyone is welcome to come along and be part of this special community event.

The Worthing Veterans Association was proud to sponsor the Mental Health Award at the Worthing Community Awards last Thursday.

This award recognises someone who goes above and beyond to support mental health awareness and community wellbeing across Worthing and Sussex. Through his dedication, local initiatives and events, he has helped countless people feel supported, connected and less alone.

A huge congratulations to this year’s winner, Neil McGuiness. A very well-deserved recognition for everything you do for our community.

We had a wonderful evening, meeting and chatting with such a diverse range of people from across the Worthing community. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was fantastic, and it was great to see so many local organisations and individuals being recognised for the difference they make.

A wonderful afternoon for the Worthing Veterans Association as they were honoured to be invited to celebrate Joyce’s 100th birthday at Old School House.

There was plenty of chatting with the residents, stories shared, medals proudly shown off, and even Willow the dog made a special appearance too.

A huge thank you to The Last Resort for hosting a fantastic quiz night for the Worthing Veterans Association last night.

Firstly, a massive thank you to Mark and Jackie for organising such a brilliant evening. It was a fantastic night, full of fun, laughter and community spirit, and together over £230 was raised for the veterans.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who came along and supported the event — your generosity and enthusiasm made the night such a success
