Stephanie Rowland and Jonathan Hargreaves recently joined Onesmus, the Vox Radio team, and local communities in Kenya's Tana River to launch an exciting new initiative!
Instead of asking communities "What do you need?", this project is asking: "What do you already have?" Using the SALT approach (Strengths, Appreciation, Listening, and Teamwork), we are helping local villages discover and use their own unique strengths to solve local challenges.
Station Manager Maureen Eunia reflects on the power of this new journey: "When people are heard, they don’t just share their stories—they begin writing a new one."
