Time flies.! The Tarring Park Clean Up Day is back, Saturday 21st March 2026, 10am. Timed to coincide with the Great British Spring Clean, fantastic idea.! Come along and get involved in your community. We'll be there again, scouring the muck, on Saturday 21st March 2026, 10am onwards, wrapping up by 1300.

The plan is to use sponge scourers & soapy water to clean up the benches, signs, gates etc, around the playground & park. We will also welcome any raking of leaves, light weeding and potentially some painting, if the weather is right. 😃👍

Please wear appropriate clothing, bring protective gloves, and suitable shoes. Bring your own snacks & hot drinks for occasional coffee breaks. Cancellation due to adverse weather will be announced on FB.

Great fun taking part in the annual Rotary litter pick involving members of various clubs including Shoreham & Southwick, Tarring Park, Brighton Beachside and Burgess Hill & District. Privileged to be aiding the Friends of Shoreham Beach with their plans for the local reserve on Shoreham Beach, an officially recognised area of natural beauty. The FOSD also gave us a tour & a talk on the flora to be found, both native and invasive species, both equally beautiful😀

Looking forward to the now annual Tarring Park Clean Up Day, 8th March, 10am. We'll be there for a couple of hours at least, scouring the verdis gris off of the benches, playground equipment, signage and bins, so would welcome any volunteers who come along & help. A few of the lovely local councillors will be very likely helping us out again, and we are partnering with our friends at GoodDeedsDay so there will be a pack of free tee shirts available 😃👍

We'll be collecting your unwanted coats and warm clothing for between 6th and 8th November at Worthing Central Railway Station (from 8am to 10:30 am each day) Please give generously to help the most vulnerable people in our community stay warm this winter.

We'll be collecting coats and warm clothing again this year to help vulnerable people in our community. 6th to 8th November at Worthing Central railway station from 8 to 10.30 am each day. Come along and warm a heart by giving a coat.
