Dear members and friends,

The funeral of Branch Member, Bill, who sadly passed away on June 4th after a long illness, fought with courage and fortitude will take place at Mansfield Crematorium on Friday 26th June at 12.15pm

A Guard of Honour and Parade of Standards has been requested by Bill`s family.

I lieu of flowers or other tributes, donations may be made to The Royal British Legion and The British Red Cross.

Gulf Wars Remembrance Service

Join us as we remember and honour all those who served during the Gulf Wars (1990–1991 and 2003–2011).

This special act of remembrance will provide an opportunity for veterans, serving personnel, families and members of the community to pay their respects and reflect on the sacrifices made.

Worksop Royal British Legion will have a market stall on Friday 19th June to raise awareness and promote upcoming events.

You can also show your support for Worksop Armed Forces Weekend by purchasing one of our official supporter pin badges.

Pin badges are available now for just £5 each, with all proceeds going directly towards supporting and funding the event.

🇬🇧 🚁 EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT 🚁 🇬🇧

Worksop Armed Forces Weekend Event 2026 is delighted to announce that the Joint Aviation Command will be coordinating a flypast by an RAF Chinook helicopter at this year’s event on Saturday 27th June between approximately 10:30am and 10:45am.

The iconic Chinook is one of the most recognisable aircraft in the Royal Air Force and plays a vital role in supporting operations both in the UK and around the world.

We are incredibly proud to be able to include this as part of our Armed Forces Weekend celebrations and would like to thank the Joint Aviation Command and all involved for their support.
