💚ASAAC PROUDLY SUPPORTING WORKINGTON STORM RLFC! 🏉

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Jayden Blair, Chairman of Workington Storm RLFC, and Luke Hewitson, one of the team's valued players, to ASAAC!

🏉 Workington Storm RLFC is the first-ever pan-disability rugby league club in West Cumbria, providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy rugby league through non-contact tag rugby.

ASAAC are incredibly proud to sponsor this fantastic team by helping to provide their playing kit. 💚

🎁 We were also delighted to be presented with a framed rugby shirt featuring the ASAAC logo! What a lovely gesture from the team and something we will proudly display at our centre. It was such a thoughtful way to recognise our support, and we are extremely grateful. 💚

It was also lovely to meet Luke, who has received an award in recognition of his outstanding commitment and dedication to the team. 🏆👏 A fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved!

At ASAAC, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to feel included, develop confidence, build friendships and be part of something special, regardless of their abilities.

Workington Storm RLFC are doing exactly that, breaking down barriers, promoting inclusion and showing what can be achieved when everyone is given the opportunity to participate.

💚 Sport is about so much more than winning games. It's about belonging, teamwork, friendship and believing in yourself.

🌊☀️ HALF-TERM FUN WITH ASAAC! 💚🖤

What a fantastic time we've had this half term! 🥰

ASAAC enjoyed a brilliant trip to Sandcastle Waterpark in Blackpool, and what a day it was!

💦 Lots of splashing and laughter
🍔 Good food and tasty treats
😃 Happy faces and wonderful memories
💚 Most importantly, lots of fun and quality time together!

Days like these mean so much to our children, young people and families. It's about more than just a day out – it's about making memories, building friendships, trying new experiences and enjoying time together in a welcoming and supportive environment.

🌟 A HUGE THANK YOU TO WESTFIELD HOUSING! 🌟

We would like to say a massive thank you to Westfield Housing for kindly funding our trip and for their continued generosity and support towards ASAAC over the years.

NEW PLAYERS WANTED
So after a very successful season coming to an end we of course have been planning our future on where the club should go next.

After playing a full size pitch against Glasson Rangers ARLFC / Glassonbury in our charity game a lot of our lads got the bug for playing 13-a-side and we have decided to trial ourselves in a Non-Contact Inclusion league for next season which will involve us playing 13-a-side and full size pitch.

With this we are looking to welcome new players of all abilities to increase our squad depth to be apart of this exciting new challenge! You might be asking what's in it for you? Well these are some things we would like to highlight:

● Be apart of a tight knit community and make new mates, you will be warmly welcomed by all from the first session and immediately taken in as one of our own 💜⚡️

● Finding your place to play the game you love without being judged on skill or ability

● Guranteed Training every week and Matches every other week (once league starts)

● This year we coached and developed 3 players who were eventually trialed for Great Britain tag rugby, could this also be you one day 👀👀?

● And most importantly near weekly Beers and Social Time for our mental health initiative!!!

🎃🧡 PUMPKIN FUN AT ASAAC! 🧡🎃

What a fantastic time we've had getting creative with pumpkins at Distington Youth Club, our Craft Club and Home Education Group! 🎨🍂

It's been lovely seeing everyone's imagination and creativity come to life, with some brilliant pumpkin designs! 🎃👻

But these activities are about so much more than decorating pumpkins. 💚

They're about:
🎨 Encouraging creativity and self-expression
🤝 Building friendships and social connections
💚 Developing confidence and independence
😊 Having fun in a welcoming, inclusive environment
🌟 Giving everyone the opportunity to take part in their own way, without pressure or judgement.

At Autism Support Allerdale and Copeland (ASAAC), we believe that even the simplest activities can make a big difference.

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers who help make these sessions possible, and to everyone who joined in! 💚🖤

Every pumpkin is different, just like every person — and that's something worth celebrating! 🎃💚

💚🖤 We're calling on our amazing local community and businesses for a little Christmas magic! 💚🖤

Here at Autism Support Allerdale and Copeland (ASAAC), we're hoping to transform our community allotments into a beautiful Winter Wonderland, bringing some festive joy to children, young people, families and our wider community. 🎅❄️

We want to create a welcoming, inclusive and sensory-friendly outdoor Christmas experience where everyone can enjoy the magic of the festive season.

Do you have any outdoor Christmas decorations sitting in storage that you no longer use?

Or perhaps you're a local business that would be willing to donate or sponsor something special?

We would be incredibly grateful for any help, whether it's one small decoration or something bigger. Every contribution will help us create something magical! ❤️
