πŸ’š Hey.. After a restful summer we are back.

If things have felt a bit hard lately, this is for you.

You know when you’re trying your best, but somehow everything still feels a little bit too much?

You’re doing the appointments.
The paperwork.
The worrying.
The trying to work out what comes next.

πŸ’šAnd sometimes you just want somewhere you can go where you don’t have to have all the answers but also zero shame?!

Maybe you need someone to talk to.
Maybe you’d like to meet people who REALLY get it.
Maybe you’re ready to start thinking about work, learning or your future - but your confidence needs a little boost first.

Or maybe… you just need to get out of the house and spend a couple of hours somewhere that feels welcoming. πŸ’š

Come along - we would love to have you.

You don't have to be confident.
You don't have to know anyone.
You don't have to have a plan.

Just take that first little step.

Every Thursday at ASAAC:

🌿 THE NETWORK HUB | 1.30–3.30pm
For adults & parents - a place to talk, share, connect and support one another.

πŸ’Ό THE WORK LOUNGE | 5–7pm
For 16+ - a relaxed space for games, AQA learning, confidence, wellbeing and preparing for work.

And the best bit?

It's completely FREE. πŸ’š

πŸ’š ASAAC HOME ED HUB IS BACK! πŸ’š
πŸ“… Starting Monday 7th September

Are you home educating, or is your child or young person currently not attending school?

Our ASAAC Home Ed Hub is starting back on Monday 7th September, and we’d love to welcome some new children, young people and families. 🌟

Our Home Ed Hub is designed to be a small, calm, relaxed and neurodiversity-friendly space where children and young people can learn, socialise and build confidence at their own pace.

🎨 Creative activities
🎲 Games and social opportunities
πŸ“š Fun and practical learning
πŸ† AQA learning opportunities available
🀝 Friendship and confidence building
πŸ’š A welcoming environment where everyone can be themselves

The group is aimed at approximately 7–16 years, but we can be flexible depending on individual needs.

We understand that walking into a new group can be a BIG step. There is no pressure to join in straight away β€” your child can take their time, watch what's happening and get comfortable with the surroundings first.

And importantly, there is no commitment to attend every week. We understand the unpredictability of neurodivergent family life, so come along when you can.

πŸ‘‹ New members are very welcome!

If you've been thinking about trying a Home Ed group but weren't sure whether your child would manage, why not come along and give ASAAC a try? You're welcome to contact us beforehand, ask questions or arrange to have a chat.

πŸ“… Starts Monday 7th September
⏰ 1pm–4pm

πŸ“§ [email protected]
πŸ“± Message ASAAC through Facebook

πŸ’š Come as you are. Take things at your own pace. You’ll be very welcome.

Please share with any Home Ed families who might benefit from finding a supportive local community.

πŸ’š WE’RE BACK THIS THURSDAY! πŸ’š

After a well-earned summer break, the ASAAC Team is feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to welcome everyone back! 😊

This Thursday, 3rd September, two of our groups will be starting back:

πŸ’š The Network Hub
A friendly and welcoming space for adults and parent carers to meet others, chat, share experiences and build connections.

πŸ’š The Work Lounge
Our 16+ social group for those who are working, preparing for work, or simply looking to build confidence, friendships and new skills in a relaxed environment.

🌟 NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME! 🌟

We know that walking into a new group for the first time can sometimes feel a little daunting, so please don't worry. There’s no pressure to join in straight away β€” come along, have a cuppa, meet the ASAAC team and see what you think.

Our groups are about friendship, belonging, confidence, laughter and having some fun along the way. πŸ’š

If you’ve been thinking about joining one of our groups, September could be the perfect time to give it a try.

We’d also really appreciate our ASAAC community sharing this post so we can reach people across West Cumbria who may be looking for somewhere to connect and feel welcome.

πŸ’š Come as you are β€” we’d love to see you! πŸ’š
