🌿 A hidden green walk in Heath Town! Does anyone know what it’s called? 🌿

We took a lovely walk today from Wolverhampton Train Station, along the path that runs past Royal Mail and around the back of Clover Lea.

It’s such a peaceful little stretch, trees, birdsong, and greenery tucked right behind the city 🌳

We heard someone call it “The Black Path." Have you heard that name before? Or does it go by something else? 👀

We also spotted plenty of plants along the way including what looks like bramble (blackberry) in flower 🌸 but we’d love your help…

It’s always amazing what you can discover just a short walk from the station 💛

🧵 Look what we made today! 🧵

At our Spokes, Skills and Spoons workshop (yesterday) participants created beautiful bottle bags from reclaimed sari fabric, giving new life to materials that would otherwise have been thrown away ♻️

Each bag is unique, full of colour and intricate detail, and carries its own story. It’s amazing to see how something old can be transformed into something both practical and beautiful 💛

These sessions are all about creativity, sustainability, and sharing skills across cultures and today was a perfect example of that.

💛 Look what we made today!

At our Pickle Workshop as part of Spokes, Skills and Spoons, participants got hands-on learning the art of pickling 🌶️🥕🫙

Preparing fresh jars of homemade pickles today, was all about building skills, sharing culture, and connecting with one another.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and made today so special 🙌

🚲 Help Us Give Bikes a New Life!

At Hope Community Project, we’ve launched something really special – Spokes, Skills & Spoons 🙌

Part of this is a community bike project designed to help local people:

✅ Learn new skills
✅ Get active
✅ Access affordable transport

👉 But we need YOUR help to get things moving!

We’re looking for donations of:

🔧 Unused bikes (adults any size or condition)
🔧 Broken bikes that need a bit of love
🔧 Spare bike parts (wheels, tyres, chains, etc.)
🔧 Locks & pumps
💡 Even if it’s not working – we can repair or reuse it!

Why it matters:
💼 Helps someone get to work or training
💪 Builds confidence
🛠️ Teaches practical skills
🌍 Keeps bikes out of landfill and back in use
