ICAW Executives and Board of Trustees were honoured to meet with the newly elected Mayor of Wolverhampton and his wife. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen community ties, celebrate cultural diversity, and discuss ways of working together to promote inclusion, unity, and community development across Wolverhampton.

Congratulations to our newly inaugurated ICAW Executive Team 2026.

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Igbo Community Association Wolverhampton, and we celebrate each of you for accepting the responsibility to serve. Leadership is a call to sacrifice, unity, patience, and commitment, and we are grateful that you have stepped forward to carry this mantle.

We pray that your tenure will be marked by wisdom, strength, understanding, and progress. May you lead with integrity, fairness, and love for the community. May your decisions strengthen our bond as one family and move ICAW to even greater heights.

After the formal inauguration came the fun and what a beautiful way to round off an unforgettable day.

The Incredible Team hosted the association to a wonderful after-party, creating such a warm, relaxed, and joyful atmosphere for everyone to unwind, connect, and celebrate together.

The evening was filled with laughter, couple games, riddles, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and so many beautiful moments shared across the room. And of course… plenty of dance, dance, dance!

It was more than just a celebration. It was a reminder of what makes our community so special. The togetherness, the laughter, the friendships, the culture, and the joy of simply being together.

A huge thank you to everyone who made it happen and to every member who came out to celebrate. Your presence, energy, and support made the evening truly memorable.

From the meaningful inauguration ceremony to the lively celebration afterwards, it was a day full of connection, joy, and community spirit and one we’ll remember for a long time.

Today was a really special day for the Igbo Community Association Wolverhampton as our newly elected Executive members were officially inaugurated by the Board of Trustees.

It was a lovely gathering filled with joy, unity, prayers, and heartfelt words as we welcomed a new chapter for our association.

We’re deeply grateful to Rev. Ralph and Deaconess Ijeoma, who prayed over the new Executive and committed their leadership into God’s hands. They prayed for wisdom, strength, peace, and guidance as this journey of service begins. Their prayers were moving and a beautiful reminder that leadership is both an honour and a responsibility.

A big thank you as well to our President Emeritus for sharing his wisdom and words of encouragement with the President and the entire Executive team. His message, shaped by years of service and commitment to this community, was thoughtful, timely, and truly inspiring. It reminded us all of the values that keep our community strong, unity, service, respect, and progress.

Today was more than just an inauguration. It was a celebration of who we are as a community, our culture, our shared commitment, and the bond that connects us. It reflected the strength of the Igbo spirit and the importance of coming together to preserve our heritage while building a stronger future for the generations ahead.
