With the prolonged warm, dry weather this summer we have been assessing the impact it has had on New Yatt RDA.
We never take the decision to cancel our sessions lightly and take guidance from other RDA Centres to whether is it safe to exercise our ponies or allow our volunteers to work in high temperatures. Unfortunately we have had to cancel many sessions this summer which has been frustrating for all.
So far this summer we have had to cancel 84 single sessions. It is no surprise that the cancellations have also made an impact on our income (rider fees greatly contribute to the running of our yard). Combined with the absence of grazing, we have also had to resume providing hay for our six equines, hay which we had stored for the winter.
In order to limit the impact this loss of income and added expenditure has had on our charity, we would like to ask for your help.
