Peggy Sue also received her 5 year long service award this summer. She is 14 years old, and was purchased form Southlea Barns where she was used as a riding club pony - those riders who play games on her feel she remembers those fast fun days. The Boot Band Stonesfield Concert and Christmas donations helped to fund her acquisition. Peggy Sue has Two white socks to tell her apart from Betty.

WenRye Harry received his 10 year service award from our local vicar Revd Margaret Dixon and our Chair Annie Cripps. Harry is 20 years old and was purchased in 2016 from a Northamptonshire Police Officer. His purchase was funded by the Glasgow Family Foundation USA. Tia received her 5 years Long Service Award at our summer social. Tia is 16 years old and was bought in 2021 from a family who emigrated, but loved her very much. She is a gently mare who enjoys a quick trot when allowed! She is a fantastic size at 13.1 hands for our smaller riders.

At our Summer Social we celebrated 4 of our ponies with long service awards. Betty is 18 years old, and has served a magnificent 10 years with NYRDA. She was sourced from the Lionheart Stud Warwickshire where she had one foal, and was fully funded by the Witt Family of Witney in 2016. Betty is a wonderful favourite - safe to ride with a good temperament both on and off the lead rein. Thank you Betty we love you!

Wanted! Saturday Afternoon Adult Volunteers for Riding sessions.
Can you spare a couple of hours regularly on a Saturday from 12.45- 3.15pm to help us run our therapeutic riding sessions? We need more adults, preferably with some experience with horses, to lead and side walk with our riders. Please email [email protected] with your details to find out more. Full training is given, and we are a friendly welcoming team. We need a regular commitment to keep our sessions stress free and safe, so please only apply if you can make that work.
