Ready, steady… bake!
A massive thank you to the children at The Hill Church Swansea, who raised £615 for our persecuted family with a cake sale!
“Our team in the children's work, JAM (Jesus And Me), had a lesson one week about what it means to follow Jesus. One of the leaders took the lesson a step further and played one of your videos. We prayed for the top countries on World Watch List, with the children writing prayers on post-it notes,” says Ashley.
“The children engaged really well. Before we knew it, the group wanted to apply what we had learnt that session, and the children talked about how Open Doors is a charity and relies on donations. We talked about doing a fundraiser. The children really liked the idea of organising a bake sale. This idea really took off and both children and leaders became very excited! The children were giving all their ideas of what they would like to bake for the sale.”
