Congratulations Daniel! We need more young people like Daniel please :)
Since completing his Masters Degree in Ecology, Daniel has spent many hours volunteering with the rangers and conservation groups at Lindow Moss.
He has helped with peat sampling, water testing, invasive species management and habitat surveys, and has also contributing to conservation planning meetings.
If you want to be more like Daniel, just get in touch with us and we can help you to find a great place to help out with looking after our gorgeous town and green spaces.

At our monthly meeting last night, we talked more about the Bollin and the sewage.
Are you letting your kids play in there this warm weekend?
Please don't.
And if you feel angry, like us, that our river is so polluted, get in touch as we make a plan to sort it out. Great things happen when people come together to act.

The next Transition Wilmslow Repair Café and IT recycling is on Saturday 4th July at the halls of Wilmslow United Reformed Church (SK9 1PR) between 10am and 1pm. We will once again be offering repairs in small electricals, textiles and clothing, furniture and woodwork, jewellery, bikes, general repairs and computer advice. We now also sharpen tools.
There will be an Action on Local Energy stall giving advice on how to save energy. Also, bring along your Tech items, such as laptops, mobiles & cables etc. for recycling.
All repairs and refreshments are free, but donations are welcome.

We really enjoyed sharing the words of our volunteers last week. We hope you feel inspired to join us and help with many of the projects we have going on around our beautiful town.
In summary, we feel that despite the world sometimes feeling scary and a bit much, it genuinely helps if you step out and do a little bit of something good in your community. We are so lucky to live in this glorious town full of gorgeous green spaces, so let’s continue working together to make it even better. For ourselves and for our children.
