On the bank holiday weekend of the 30th there will not be a Sunday service at Riverside to give space for people to rest from rotas and pause before the new term starts. So we are encouraging everyone to express “church” a little differently. This is an opportunity to gather with friends, neighbours, family or with your Life Group. Services will be back to normal on Sunday 6th September. We hope you all have a refreshing restful holiday time.

This is a new song on our core song list which we will be singing on Sunday morning. It’s called ‘House of the Lord’ by Phil Wickham from his album ‘Hymn of Heaven’. Written during the COVID-19 pandemic when physical church buildings were empty, the song helped Phil process discouragement and realize that the true "house of the Lord" is not a physical structure, but the community of believers carrying God's presence.

This coming Sunday (19h July), we will be starting a new Sunday message series called ‘Fruit of the Spirit’. An eight-week series, where we'll discover how God cultivates Jesus’ character in us - our lives become a living testimony to the transforming power of the gospel.

It was ten years ago (18-06-16) we had our Grand Opening and commissioning service at Riverside. Who remembers all the fantastic entertainment during the day, such as the Bouncy castle, Joey the clown, face painting, hair braiding, fun with bugs, splat the rat, balloon modelling and tin can alley. The packed evening service was great with many dignitaries and pastors from local churches praying for Riverside. Ten years on, we thank God for all the relationships and partnerships that we have built up in our community and beyond. And pray that these would deepen and grow, and also for us as a church, that we would always respond with compassion, generosity, and wisdom to peoples needs. And our impact would be far reaching along our coastlands – beyond what we could even ask for or imagine.

☀️ The countdown to summer is on! ☀️
​We can’t believe it, but Growbaby has just 5 weeks left before we close for the summer break. Our last day open will be July 20th.
​Before we pack up for the holidays, come and visit us to stock up on gorgeous summer clothes for your little ones!
