Everyone is welcome, and every contribution — big or small — helps keep Westbury bright, colourful, and full of heart. Hi I’m Marisa, and Westbury Yarn Bombers is my little community‑spirited project that’s grown into something really colourful, creative, and heart‑warming. I started it to bring a bit of joy to Westbury through crochet and knitted art, but it’s become so much more thanks to the kindness of people near and far. Westbury Yarn Bombers is a friendly, creative community group dedicated to brightening up our town with crochet and knitted art. What started as a simple idea has grown into a lovely way for people of all ages and abilities to come together, make something fun, and spread a bit of happiness around Westbury. We create everything from seasonal displays and charity pieces to little yarny surprises that pop up around town and make people smile. Our projects often support local causes, youth groups, and health charities — and we love involving anyone who wants to join in, whether you’re a complete beginner or a lifelong crafter. Although we’re based in Westbury, our yarny family stretches across Wiltshire, the South West, and even further afield. We receive generous donations of yarn, handmade pieces, and creative contributions from people in many different areas. Every parcel, every ball of yarn, and every lovingly made creation helps us keep growing, creating, and supporting more causes.
