🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀
Here at Spire Homecare Frome, we’re joining people across the country in helping to raise awareness of breast cancer this October.
Being familiar with your own body and knowing what is normal for you is important. If something doesn’t look or feel right, don’t ignore it, speak to a healthcare professional.
We’ll be helping to spread the message throughout the month and showing our support for everyone whose life has been affected by breast cancer. 💗

💙 Did you know? Our Training Manager, Amanda, can also provide training and support for families of our clients. 💙

Amanda has previously delivered training to family members on subjects including Dementia, Moving & Handling and End of Life Care, helping families feel more informed and confident when supporting their loved ones.

Training can also be provided on a wide range of other subjects, depending on what families would find most useful, including:

• Stroke Awareness
• Parkinson’s
• Acquired Brain Injury
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• Motor Neurone Disease
• Huntington’s Disease
• Sensory Displacement Disorder
• Mental Health Awareness
• Diabetes
• Prevention of Falls

💙 Fresh Ideas for the Future of Care
Members of our Senior Management Team and Registered Managers will be attending The Care Show today.
It is a valuable opportunity to discover new ideas, learn from others across the sector and explore developments that could help shape the way care is delivered in the future.
For Spire Homecare Frome, the important part comes afterwards, taking the best ideas, discussing them with our teams and looking at what could genuinely improve the way we support people locally.
We’re excited to see what the team learns and what new ideas they bring back to Spire. 💙

It’s judging interview week for the South West Great British Care Awards, and the team at Spire Homecare Frome would like to wish our six Spire colleagues the very best of luck.
A huge good luck to Charmaine, Denise, Kim, Kaysey, Chloe and Lynne, who have all been shortlisted as finalists across a number of individual award categories.
Reaching the finals is already something to be extremely proud of and reflects the contribution each of them makes to care and the people we support.
