September marks Su***de prevention Month – a time to raise awareness, challenge stigma and remind ourselves that talking about su***de can be part of prevention.
Sometimes, the most important thing we can do is simply ask:
💬 “How are you really doing?”
💬 “You don’t seem quite yourself – do you want to talk?”
💬 “I’m here. You don’t have to go through this alone.”
You don’t need to have the perfect words or know how to fix everything. Listening without judgement and helping someone feel heard can be a powerful first step.
