It's a warm and welcoming space where you can catch up with friends, meet neighbours, spend time with family, or simply take a break and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat.

We are delighted to share that Dolphina Gymnastics has generously donated a new defibrillator to the Orbital Community Hub.

This amazing contribution will help enhance the safety of everyone who visits and uses the Centre.

A defibrillator can play a vital role in responding to a cardiac emergency, and having this equipment readily available provides added reassurance for our staff, hirers, and visitors. While we hope it is never needed, its presence could one day help save a life.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone at Dolphina Gymnastics for their kindness, generosity, and continued support of the Hub. Their donation reflects the strong community spirit that helps make Orbital such a welcoming and supportive place for all.

Thank you, Dolphina Gymnastics, for helping us keep our community safer ❤️

Building stronger communities in Watford 💚

For the past two years, Christ Apostolic Church Mount of Rehoboth, Watford has been using our Community Hub for Sunday services, prayer meetings, fellowship and family activities.

Having a welcoming and accessible space has helped the church bring people together, strengthen connections and provide valuable opportunities for fellowship, support and inclusion.

💬 “The centre has become an important part of our church community. It provides a welcoming and accessible space where our members can worship, connect, and support one another.”

We’re proud to support organisations that help create stronger, more connected and inclusive communities across Watford 🤝

Following on from previous week’s work we again welcomed the team of volunteers from Sky Studios, together with their partners CBRE to continue transformation of the garden at the BECC! 🤝

The second day included planting of two shrub beds and installing a new planter, painting of the newly repaired play equipment and benches, and installation of a number of new benches, including one just for the children, a new goalpost and dugout and two sails in the trees to provide shade on the hot days! 🌳

The last thing to complete is a new mud kitchen and then the project is done! Thanks once again to Sky, CBRE and Cawley for this stunning transformation project! 🤩

A huge thank you to Sky, CBRE and Cawley for all your hard work!

After several months planning and scoping work, this week we welcomed a team of volunteers from Sky Studios, together with their partners CBRE and Cawley Waste Management to commence the transformation of the garden at the BECC!

The Sky Studios team had essentially offered to do a mini ‘DIY SOS’ project, volunteering their time, materials and resources, so we can start to use the garden again for the rest of the Summer and for years to come, having previously been closed due to condemned play equipment. Not only is this great for the families using the services of the BECC, it is also a positive for the local community to come in, buy a coffee from the café and enjoy a pleasant outside space to drink it in!

Part 1 was clearance of old and broken toys and clearing the weeds and leaves, pressure washing the old benches, paving and play equipment, cutting back the trees, and repairing the equipment where needed. The first skip was filled within an hour with the second en route…

A huge thanks to Sky, CBRE and Cawley for this stunning transformation project!

Part 2 is happening next week, with a couple of surprises, when the full transformation will be revealed!
