Walton and District Community FoodBank

Walton and District Community FoodBank Helping to combat Food Poverty in the community with the aid of food parcels, fuel vouchers, food vouchers and benefits advice. What area do we cover?

Open to all who live in the Tendring Area The FoodBank is a Voluntary Organisation originally set up by Walton Churches Together to address some of the problems stemming from the growing level of poverty within our district. From Monday 1st June 2026 Walton & District Community Larder will be open 8.45am until 10.15am Monday to Friday. Team members will be onsite to ensure all visitors are treated fairly and food distributed to those who need it most.
Sadly this decision had to made after we were made aware that some visitors had completely gutted the larder including a crate! The larder was opened to supplement families and individuals who are struggling and also to stop food waste. When we are blessed with lots of surplus we are more than happy for visitors to fill a bag, and usually put up a Facebook post promoting this. But when we have very little, we need people to be understanding and only take what you need, not what you want.
You may want to collect for not only yourself, but for a friend or family member, we are happy for you to do this but we ask you make your visit at 10am.

Thank you to all who have been courteous to other users and team members. Please keep coming along, but be understanding of changes. The Foodbank will be open as usual 9-12noon every Friday with no changes.
