Adventure Isn’t Just for the Kids! ⚜️
Are you looking for a way to give back to your community that doesn't necessarily involve tying knots or camping in the rain? We are looking for dedicated, skilled individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help shape the future of local Scouting.

While the young people are busy learning survival skills, our Trustees are the "backstage crew" making sure the show goes on. We are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers with professional expertise in:

🏠 Property & Premises Management: Help us maintain and develop our meeting place.
⚖️ Legal or Charity Governance: Ensure we’re always operating safely and within the lines.
💰 Financial Expertise: Keep our budget on track so more kids can access Scouts.
📈 Fundraising Expertise: Help us secure the grants and donations that fuel our adventure.

Why Join Us?
You don’t need to have been a Scout to apply! You just need a bit of time, a lot of enthusiasm, and the desire to use your professional "superpowers" for good.

Impact: Directly influence the opportunities available to young people in our area.
Flexibility: Quarterly meetings and remote support—perfect for busy professionals.
Community: Join a friendly, purpose-driven team.
"Scouting isn't just about the knots we tie, it's about the community we build."

Ready to lead the way?
If you have the skills to help us grow, we’d love to grab a coffee and chat.

🌟 Volunteer Opportunity – Fundraising Team Leader 🌟

Fancy getting involved with a friendly local Scout group and making a real difference?

We are looking for someone to help lead our fundraising efforts. You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who enjoys working with people, has a few ideas (or is happy to try!), and wants to support young people in our community.

💡 What you might do:

- Help organise fun events and fundraising activities.
- Connect with local businesses and supporters.
- Bring together a small, friendly team of volunteers.
- Try out new ideas to raise funds for our group.

⏰ Time commitment is flexible—we’ll work around you.

It’s a great way to meet new people, build skills, and give something back locally 🙌

As we draw to the end of 2025 and what a year it’s been for the Scout Group! Let’s celebrate some of the amazing things we have done this with Central Yorkshire Scouts.

To all our young people who’ve been a part of the group, all the parents who’ve taken your young people to countless sectional evenings, camps, supporting the group during the year, and all our volunteers who work tirelessly in providing the amazing experiences week in, week out. THANK YOU!

Here’s to an even more incredible year in 2026!

Squirrels and Beavers enjoyed a weekend on Minecraft Camp!

Despite the weather, they had lots of fun on Minecraft adventures- including making their own swords, building their own worlds and even mining for gems!

After making slime, pizza and washing up - many of our young people slept over and enjoyed more fun on Sunday.
