Wow – what an amazing surprise! 💙

James was delighted to attend the Uttoxeter Runners Awards Night at Anytime Lounge on the 12th of June, where the club presented YESS with a fantastic donation of £1,000.

Back in April, we were lucky enough to be part of the Uttoxeter Runners event at Uttoxeter Racecourse, helping with the bag drop in exchange for donations. We knew people had been incredibly generous on the day, but we were blown away to learn that the total raised was £1,000.

To everyone who donated, ran, volunteered, organised and supported the event – thank you. Your kindness and generosity will help us continue being there for people who need mental health support across our local communities.

We’re so grateful to have the support of such a brilliant club. 🏃‍♀️

☕ What if your morning coffee could help change a life?

YESS needs to raise £25,000 by July to continue providing low-cost emotional support to children, adults and families across Staffordshire.

Uttoxeter is home to around 14,000 people. If every person in our town donated just £1.80, together we’d reach our £25,000 target. That’s less than the cost of most takeaway coffees.

We know not everyone can give, but if those who can donate a little do so, it quickly adds up to something life-changing for people who need support right now.

Every pound helps us keep our services accessible and available to those facing anxiety, low mood, trauma and other emotional challenges.

I was looking back through the numbers recently, and I'm pretty proud of this.

When I chose Your Emotional Support Service Staffordshire as my charity partner, it was because they were a local organisation doing genuinely meaningful work, without the huge corporate structure that can sometimes make people question where charitable donations actually end up.

Of the seven annual challenges I've completed so far, five have been dedicated to raising money for charity. Having now seen first-hand the work YESS does, and the real impact these donations have on the people they support, I'm more convinced than ever that they're a worthy recipient of every pound raised.

To everyone who has donated to one or more of my challenges over the years: thank you. Your support is making a difference to far more people than just me, and I know it is hugely appreciated by those who benefit from it.
Together, we've raised over £7,000 so far, and that's something we can all be proud of. 🙏
