Last week, we joined the first Chamber Charity Group Meeting at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. 💜

It was great to meet other charities and businesses, share ideas and chat about how we can better support each other and our local communities.

💜 A lovely day in Uttoxeter!

We really enjoyed being part of the Police and Partners Multi-Agency Day! It was lovely to meet people from the local community, have a chat and share more about YESS and the support we offer to people across Staffordshire.

A big thank you to East Staffordshire Police for putting on such a great event and bringing so many local services together. It’s lovely to see so many people and organisations working together to support our community.

We have some lovely news to share!

We’re absolutely delighted that Uttoxeter Rotary has chosen YESS as one of its charities to support. ⚙️

As a local charity, support from our community means so much to us. It helps us continue providing mental health support to people of all ages across Staffordshire, and we’re incredibly grateful to Uttoxeter Rotary for choosing to support the work we do.

We’re really looking forward to working together and seeing what we can achieve!

AI is not a substitute for professional mental health support. 💬

More young people are turning to AI for mental health advice, but it cannot replace a trained counsellor, human understanding or the care someone needs when they’re struggling.

As parents and carers, we need to talk openly with young people about where they turn for help - and make sure they know that real support is available, and they don’t have to face things alone.

At YESS, we provide professional counselling to help people feel heard, understood and supported.

As part of our 15th birthday celebrations, we had the pleasure of thanking some of the amazing people and organisations who have supported us along the way.

funding challenges putting vital support at risk.

At YESS, we provide professional mental health support for children, young people and adults across Staffordshire. But we can’t do it alone.

🤝 We’re looking for local businesses to partner with us through corporate sponsorship, fundraising or Charity of the Year partnerships.

£720 could fund up to 12 counselling sessions.
£1,800 could support a six-week therapeutic
group programme for up to eight clients.

Together, we can help make mental health support accessible to those who need it most.

15 years of YESS - and so much to celebrate! 💜

Last Saturday, we had such a lovely time celebrating our 15th birthday with an afternoon tea, surrounded by some of the wonderful people who have been part of our journey.

It was a chance to take a step back, look at how far we’ve come and, most importantly, say thank you to the people who have helped us get here. We were especially pleased to recognise some of our amazing fundraisers, whose support makes such a difference to what we do.

YESS started 15 years ago with one person and a commitment to supporting children and young people. Today, we’re proud to support people of all ages across Staffordshire through counselling and creative therapies, including Art Therapy, Dance Movement Psychotherapy and Music Psychotherapy.

Running a small charity isn’t always easy, but we wouldn’t be where we are today without our staff, volunteers, fundraisers, donors and everyone who continues to support us.

Thank you for being part of our story. We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved together, and we’re looking forward to what comes next.
