Lights, camera, sustainability! 🎬🌱

Today we've been at Stoke Studios filming e-learning content for Birmingham City University, exploring how sustainability intersects with Sport and Law.

It's been great working with the talented teams at Reels in Motion and Tom Bedford to bring these important topics to life, creating engaging learning experiences that connect sustainability with real-world issues and professional practice.

Young voices and a greener future 🌱 💬

At Climate Expo 2026, Cllr Monica Holton, Mayor of East Staffordshire, shared her hopes for greater youth involvement in climate change discussions.

She wants to see pupils from schools and academies at future conferences to give youngsters the place and space to share their ideas - and have their voices heard 🌍💚

A look back at our Climate Expo 2026 🌍💚

Last month we welcomed local organisations, community groups and residents for a day full of friendly faces, great conversations and plenty of inspiration for looking after our planet together.

Thank you so much to everyone who came along, ran a stall, spoke or shared their experiences. It was lovely to see so many people who care about our community and our environment in one place. 🌱

Were you there? Tell us in the comments what you took away from the day. We'd love to hear from you 👇

How much energy is your building using when nobody is there?

WattGuard analyses existing smart meter data to reveal energy being wasted overnight, at weekends and during closures, helping organisations identify practical opportunities to reduce costs.

At their Climate Expo stand you can see a live energy wastage demonstration, learn how to download your own smart meter data in around ten minutes, and find out about their new WattGuard Zero pilot.

The pilot will offer eligible community buildings, charities, museums, heritage sites and non-profits across the Midlands a free out-of-hours energy report.
